Meet These Asian Celebs Who are Endorsing Lucrative Fashion Brands

Gone are the days when luxury brand endorsements are only exclusive to Hollywood and European celebrities. Now, Asians have finally joined the luxury landscape to become the face of numerous designer labels.
From idols to actors, here are the top 10 Asian ambassadors who either previously endorsed or are endorsing renowned luxury brands.
Blackpink
The four-piece Korean girl group Blackpink consisting of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé was one of the most popular Asian brand ambassadors for luxury fashion houses. BTS
Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS), which means “Beyond the Scene” in English, is a seven-piece Korean boy group that has become a global pop icon because of their chart-topping songs and fashionable looks.
Fashion giant Louis Vuitton recently announced that BTS members J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Sugar, and V are the latest house ambassadors for LV’s special projects this year.
Jackson Wang
Hong Kong-born rapper and K-pop idol, Jackson Wang is the Asian brand ambassador for Cartier and Fendi.
Wang’s special collaboration with Fendi last year unveiled a limited-edition velvet collection. This included clothes, shoes, and accessories which he personally designed. The 25-year-old GOT7 member also starred in the campaign of Cartier’s Juste un Clou collection.
Jackson Yee
American jewelry house Tiffany & Co. tapped actor-singer Jackson Yee as its Asian brand ambassador. In the campaign for the T1 collection, Yee was wearing rose gold men’s jewelry and diamond stud earrings.
In August 2020, Yee became the global ambassador of Armani Beauty. The brand is about premium skincare and makeup in partnership with L’Oréal. Other ambassadors in this category are Alice Pagani, Cate Blanchett, Ryan Reynolds, and Zhong Chuxi.
Karry Wang
Karry Wang or Wang Junkai (real name) welcomed the year with a fresh start as he joined the Christian Louboutin family as the first China brand ambassador.
The 21-year-old singer and actor gained popularity for being the leader of the Chinese idol group, TFBoys (The Fighting Boys). Karry will be featured in the brand’s latest campaign called the SUPERLOUBI capsule collection, which includes footwear and bags made from patent leather and canvas.
Aside from Christian Louboutin, Karry is also the face of Christian Dior in 2019. He was seen wearing a Dior men’s suit during the iQIYI Scream Night gala event.
Kris Wu
Chinese actor and rap star Kris Wu has been the Asian brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton since 2018. Wu has made various magazine cover shoots and campaigns with the company. This year, he will be featured in the Men’s Spring-Summer collection.
The latest collection presents "The Adventures of Zoooom with Friends", which includes colorful animated characters who will set out on a virtual journey around the world.
Liu Yi Fei
The Chinese American actress who played the live-action remake of Disney’s Mulan is the newest face of Louis Vuitton China. She is part of the brand’s spring 2021 campaign that will be joined by prominent personalities including Alicia Vikander, Emma Stone, Léa Seydoux, and Naomi Osaka.
Other than Louis Vuitton, Liu has been the Asian brand ambassador for Chanel, Dior, Armani, and Shiseido.
Luhan
Chinese singer and actor Luhan has joined the celebration of Gucci’s latest launch of Poudre De Beauté Mat Naturel powder as its brand ambassador. The beauty product has released five new shades that were shown in a creative video featuring Luhan.
Known as a former member of K-pop group EXO, he is also part of Cartier China where he embodied the Juste Un Clou campaign’s independent spirit world.
Song Hye Kyo
Paris-based jeweler The House of Chaumet introduced a new campaign with South Korean actress Song Hye Kyo. The Bee My Love collection includes vibrant and cheerful modern pieces.
Kyo is also the first Korean global ambassador chosen by Fendi because of her elegance, confidence, and beauty.
Yang Mi
Chinese singer and actress Yang Mi has scored various luxury brand endorsements including Stuart Weitzman, Michael Kors, and Victoria’s Secret.
Dubbed as “China’s fashion queen”, Yang Mi stated that it was a dream come true to become the global ambassador of her favorite shoe brand, Stuart Weitzman.
She was also named the global brand ambassador for Michael Kors and spokesmodel for Victoria’s Secret.
