AXEAN Festival 2025 Drops Artist Lineup for Club SEA Showcase in Bali

Get ready to dance the night away, music fans! Southeast Asia’s leading music and creative industry platform just released the first wave of its 2025 lineup!
Happening on Sept. 13 and 14 at Jimbaran Hub in Bali, Indonesia, the AXEAN Festival 2025 promises a dynamic roster of artists, reflecting an exciting array of genres, cultures, and music styles from across the region. This year’s festival will introduce a new special stage called Club SEA Showcase, which aims to highlight AXEAN electronic and club music or genres born in the region that are “export-ready” and slowly gaining recognition across the globe.
“This year, we’d like to introduce artists who blend local sounds and cultural textures with electronic forms, which is a genre that’s gaining serious traction internationally,” said AXEAN Festival co-founder Piyapong Muenprasertdee. “We see this not just as a trend but as a powerful vehicle to showcase our regional identity in new and compelling ways, alongside the diverse spectrum of local music we continue to champion.”

Some of the headliners include Filipino artist DJ Love, who pioneered the unique electronic music sub-genre Budots, and alt-rock outfit One Click Straight. Also confirmed to perform are Bali-based alternative rock band Jangar; psychedelic rock trio Kelompok Penerbang Roket; indie rock quartet Ministry Of; six-piece band L’alphalpha; and rising producer and singer-songwriter XANDEGA from Indonesia.
They will also be sharing the stage with rising Malaysian dark pop artist Su San; indie pop/rock singer-songwriter Shye and prolific electronic musician and producer Fauxe from Singapore; and experimental rave n’ roll act S.O.L.E. and four-piece alt rock band DOOR PLANT from Thailand.
“These are the Southeast Asian artists we think are ready to break out regionally and internationally,” said David Siow, co-founder of AXEAN Festival. “Many of these artists have a strong local following, and we’re here to connect the dots globally.”
“Export-ready is a core principle in how we curate artists for AXEAN. But that doesn’t mean simply choosing artists who are already popular abroad or those who sing in flawless English. It’s about selecting artists who are professionally prepared to navigate today’s global music industry — artistically, logistically, and mentally. I believe genres are never a barrier if you can find the right market, the right niche, the right community that truly connects with your sound,” added Piyapong.

Early Bird day passes are now available and can be purchased via LOKET. Two-day passes are at IDR150,000 while one-day passes can be bought for IDR100,000.
Leading up to the festival, selected artists and producers will be able to participate in the Music Conference and Songwriting Camp, which aims to create meaningful discourse around music and foster collaboration and industry partnership. The conference will include curated panel discussions, business matchmaking, and structured networking between regional and international delegates, while the four-day songwriting camp allows participants to co-create in a collaborative, cross-cultural environment.
The international music festival is presented in partnership with Jimbaran Hub and sponsored by Tunecore.
