Pepsi MAX Teams Up with The Notorious B.I.G for Hip-Hop’s 50th Anniversary
Pepsi MAX has joined forces with late hip-hop icon, The Notorious B.I.G., in a campaign marking the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. This global initiative not only showcases a remixed, previously unreleased track from Biggie, but it also aims to amplify his legacy to a new generation.
With the blessing of Biggie’s estate, this track has been remastered and given a modern twist. The release was timed to coincide with Biggie’s posthumous induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a tribute by Pepsi to his enduring influence.
Street art is set to appear in major cities worldwide, along with limited-edition Pepsi MAX cans, as part of this immersive campaign.
The Notorious B.I.G., born Christopher Wallace in Brooklyn, New York, had a fondness for Pepsi and even recorded a song featuring the beverage in 1997.
Voletta Wallace, Biggie’s mother and founder of the Christopher Wallace Memorial Foundation, expressed excitement about honouring her son’s legacy and introducing his music to new fans during the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
