Incoming news in your area, BLINKs! Rosé is making a comeback with a new solo album!
Four months after signing with The Black Label, the K-Pop star announced her debut solo album, “rosie” which is set to release on Dec. 6.
“I cannot believe I am finally announcing my first album release to you all,” the Blackpink member wrote on an Instagram post two days ago where she also unveiled the official album cover, causing a frenzy online.
She shared how the album came about after the group’s year-long tour ended, and how she found herself in studio sessions in L.A. writing and producing music. The album is the culmination of her hard work, and the sleepless nights she spent thinking about the next chapter of her music career.
“I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie - is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.”
The global pop star also teased that it’s a full-length album with 12 tracks and is reported to be her most “personal and candid” project yet. Rosé made her solo debut in 2021 with the two-track album “R.” The pop record featured “On the Ground” — where she reflected on her life as a K-Pop superstar through an electropop/rock synth track, and “Gone,” a romantic ballad that lamented past loves and future loneliness.
Apart from working on a solo album, Rosé is also gearing up for Blackpink’s world tour which was confirmed by her former label YG Entertainment alongside 2NE1’s anniversary concert tour. Last June, she partnered with sportswear PUMA for a campaign and inspired a capsule collection by Tiffany & Co. called “Tiffany Lock Rosé Edition” which debuted in the brand’s new Omotesando store in Tokyo last Sept. 14.
She was also spotted in Paris Fashion Week last week at the Women’s Summer 25 Show by Anthony Vaccarello as one of Yves Saint Laurent’sbrand ambassadors.
