Blinks are getting their Christmas presents a few days early this year as K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK announces two collaborations ahead of the holiday.
Last Dec. 18, YG Select announced the pre-launch of the “BLACKPINK Original Tamagotchi,” the first release in the official BLACKPINK x Tamagotchi lineup slated for next year. The collectible digital pet allows fans to raise their very own BLACKPINK members and will be available via KakaoTalk Gift starting Dec. 23, 2025 (2 PM, KST).

The collaboration arrives at a particularly timely moment, coinciding with Tamagotchi’s 30th anniversary and the renewed popularity of the iconic toy amid the rise of retro, Y2K, and “kidult” trends. Once seen as a childhood staple of the late ’90s and early 2000s, Tamagotchi has found new life among nostalgic millennials and Gen Z collectors alike. This resurgence has been further fueled by fan-driven demand, sparked by offline pop-up events and limited-edition releases.
“We expect that BLACKPINK's iconic brand power and Tamagotchi's retro sensibility will meet to expand beyond simple toys to collectible items,” a YG Plus official said.

Another exciting collaboration is with Hiroshi Fujiwara’sfragment design, a Japanese streetwear brand known for its minimalist aesthetic, neutral color palette, and collaborations. The founder teased several pieces from the collection on his Instagram, featuring black-and-white varsity jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, and tote bags designed with polka-dot patterns, group logos, and statements like “PINK IS THE NEW BLACK.”

This isn’t the first time the group has teamed up with the brand. Back in April 2023, they released a collaboration T-shirt to celebrate their historic Coachella headlining set, but since it wasn’t made available to the public, many fans were left disappointed. This time around, the collab is tied to their “Deadline” World Tour and, according to YG Entertainment Japan, is set to drop on Dec. 22, 2025.
