Pawnshop or Bar? Here’s What Actually Inside the Untitled Bar in Thonglor

If you’re a nightlife enthusiast in Bangkok, you’ve probably come across this pawnshop-style bar along the upscale district of Thonglor – Untitled.

The 300-square-metre bar, designed by Godmother Studio and the Yolo Group, was transformed into a vibrant retro-themed pawnshop to attract more patrons.

As part of the trick, the bar features three pawnshops, but with only one entrance “to create a sense of surprise and curiosity among our wealthier customers as they enter what appears to be a pawnshop, a place where one might not want to be seen,” according to Yolo Group.

Inside the bar, you can see the foyer of a pawnshop. Passing through a curtain reveals the entrance to a dark, opulent bar with subtle lights and sculptural design elements featuring copper tube frames that crawl across the place.

The artworks, designed and painted by "SKETCHEDBUK" (Suchan Chaveewan), were added with a bit of political satire through hand-painted signs, lettering design, mural painting, and decorative glass art.

Its VIP area has a long sofa in the classical style, as well as a marble top bar that measures 6.5 metres long, and with amber lighting and slightly bigger, high armchairs for more comfortable seating.

Untitled is located at Thonglor Soi 10 (opposite Donki Mall) and is open everyday from 7 PM ‘til late.
