Satisfy Your Tex-Mex Cravings at These Restaurants in Bangkok

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply planning to dive into a new gastronomic experience, here’s where you can try Tex-Mex food in Bangkok.

Tex Mex restaurants in Bangkok

Food fusion is not a new concept in the culinary scene anymore, thanks to the creativity and innovation of chefs and home cooks. One of the most popular culinary fusions is Tex-Mex because of its feisty flavours ingrained in Southwestern culture.

The migration of more Mexicans to Texas resulted in the cultivation of a new culture called Tejano heritage, which is characterised by its delicious blend of Tex-Mex cuisine. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply planning to dive into a new gastronomic experience, here’s where you can try Tex-Mex food in Bangkok.

Sunrise Tacos Mexican Grill

Fans of Mexican cuisine in Bangkok are probably familiar with this restaurant’s famous “non-genetically modified and non-transgenic” masa or corn dough. It imports its skirt steak from Australia and Jagota, Thailand, while its sirloin comes from a local halal butcher shop that brings live cattle in from Australia.

Eighty percent of its menu is Tex-Mex dishes, including its most popular carne asada fries, carne asada burrito, USA cowboy tacos, ground beef enchiladas, fajitas, nachos supreme, and more.

The Londoner Brew Pub

The Londoner Brew Pub, which first opened its doors in 1997, is considered to be one of the city's oldest microbreweries.

The British pub and sports bar is also family friendly, serving quality steaks and chopped beef for burgers, as well as lamb shanks. Despite its British descent, the restaurant also has TexMex dishes such as quesadillas, nachos, chimichangas, tostadas, and chicharron de ribeye.

British staples like fish and chips, bangers and mash, and gammon steak are also available, along with a full breakfast menu, beer snacks, and small bites.

The Spotted Pig

If you live near the quiet alley of Saladaeng 1, you’ve probably tried The Spotted Pig. It offers some of the best Tex-Mex dishes in Bangkok, such as rice bowls and burgers, which are considered to be the locals’ favourites.

Apart from the restaurant’s scrumptious garb, it also serves Tex-Mex classic cocktails made from fresh ingredients and premium spirits. Its quesadillas with melted cheese and tortilla paired with fresh salsa and sour cream are unmissable.
