Asia's longest-running global student startup competition, the SCG Bangkok Business Challenge at Sasin, kicked off its 2023 tournament last month. With the theme “Planting The Seeds of Innovation,” the event featured the innovative ideas of young entrepreneurs from different universities in Thailand.
On March 18, Team cWallet from Chiang Mai University emerged victorious and was awarded with a Thai royal trophy plus a cash prize worth THB100,000. They will compete in the Global Competition in June, where they will gun for a spot in the green lane among the other 150 teams invited to the Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition in Singapore.
Meanwhile, Team Chat.pLearn from Chulalongkorn University won first runner-up and took home a cash prize of THB40,000. Team Deeper from Hatyai University was hailed as the winner of the Thailand 60-Second Pitch and received a cash prize of THB10,000.
For undergraduates and postgraduates inclined towards entrepreneurship, you still have a chance to join and earn exciting prizes. The SCG Bangkok Business Challenge at Sasin is accepting applicants until April 30 (11:59 PM Bangkok time) and is open to all teams from any academic institution around the world. The competition will take place on June 22-24.
Other exciting prizes that winning teams may receive are cocktail dinners, networking with fellow entrepreneurs, cruise parties, and a full-day cultural tour of Bangkok. Doesn't that just seem exciting? Make sure to submit your entry as soon as you can and register here.
