Kfashion Recap Seoul Fashion Week Looks Jisoo Flower Outfits and More

Put on your fanciest dress as we step into the world of Korean fashion. To stay au courant on the latest developments in the K-fashion industry, we’ve buckled down to give you a quick roundup of the hottest fashion trends worn by K-pop stars and K-drama icons this March 2023.

Here are several statement pieces and flattering ensembles that you should bookmark – from the best looks seen on the runway to red carpet-style ideas and music video outfit inspirations.

Seoul Fashion Week

The most creative designers in South Korea showcased their work during the 2023 Fall/Winter Seoul Fashion Week (SFW), which took place at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in the heart of Seoul from March 15-19. The event featured trendy street-style pieces with a laid-back vibe.

Spotted during the fashion week were Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung and “True Beauty” actor Hwang In Yeop. Both artists wore a classic winter outfit of a gray textured coat over a black inner layer.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung

This black and white tweed fitting jacket from The Harlequin resembles Sooyoung’s coat during the Seoul Fashion Week. It's a collarless jacket with a slight fringe trim around the edges, and the length of the jacket falls just over the waist, like the one worn by the K-pop star.

Hwang In Yeop

Steal this look: Have your black shirt, pants, and shoes ready and match them with this single breasted full length tweed herringbone gray overcoat from OvercoatUSA for that “protective bad boy look” by Han Seo-jun (Hwang In Yeop’s character in “True Beauty”).

(G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon

(G)I-DLE’s leader and rapper Jeon Soyeon wowed the crowd with her mini white dress paired with a fur jacket, as she stood out to the predominantly black-wearing crowd.

Steal this look: Channel your inner Soyeon and shop this Deora jacket in bone white and Dale skirt on Revolve.

New Jeans

K-pop girl group New Jeans was this year's SFW honorary ambassadors as they were heralded as the “fashion icon of the MZ generation” (Gen Z and millennials combined). During the show, the group dressed in fashionable jackets and tooled jeans.

Hyein wore a Goomheo-designed denim knot vest, while Hanni wore a jacket and top from Ulkin. She complemented her look with Yvmin’s liquefied metal butterfly hair claw clip and Unif smoke boots.

Haerin completed her chic ensemble with an autumn-winter jacket by Kanghyuk, Tribal AJO Soccer top designed by AJOBYAJO, and the Pink Commando Platform Derbys by GCDS.

Minji also wore Kanghyuk’s autumn-winter jacket and pants, paired with Ulkin’s logo mesh top, zip jacket by FFFPOSTALSERVICE, and Retro Flatform Over-The-Knee Boots by Ganni.

Danielle was styled with Ulkin’s grid top, Kanghyuk’s autumn-winter jacket and dress, and Animalier Commando Platform Derbys by GCDS.

Jisoo and Moon Ga-young at Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023

Blackpink's Jisoo was again present at the Paris Fashion Week (PFW) Fall/Winter 2023 held last March 1.

The brand’s global ambassador for fashion and beauty donned Dior's exquisite amethyst strapless dress. She finished off her look by styling her hair in loose waves, strapped heels, and a classic Lady Dior bag in black cannage lambskin.

Steal this look: We found this deep V-neck backless satin long dress in purple from Luulla if you wish to wear a matching outfit with Sooya.

Meanwhile, “True Beauty” star Moon Ga-young was also a scene-stealer at the Parisian rendezvous. She wore a black sheer dress from Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) that exuded a chic, edgy, and sophisticated air. She also paired it with a leather jacket.

Steal this look: You may purchase this semi-sheer dress with thin ribbed knit and high neck from YSL and a short leather jacket with a storm flap, side pockets, and an adjustable belt at the waist in the bleu fonce colour from the same brand.

Park Seo Joon and Blackpink’s Jennie at the Chanel Show in Paris

Park Seo Joon and Jennie Kim were both present at the Chanel 2023 Fall/Winter Fashion Show in Paris last March 7.

The arrival of the two Korean stars was one of the most anticipated parts of the show. They posted photos on Instagram together, where PSJ was seen wearing a tweed bouclé jacket accessorised with a Chanel logo brooch pin, paired with a white button-down shirt inside and black slacks.

Jennie Kim, on the other hand, radiated beauty in a white tweed jumpsuit with a thin belt that has a flower in the middle. She completed her PFW look with a French braided hairstyle and a black mini Chanel hobo bag.

Steal this look: We found this collarless jacket in black and white check pattern from Vestiare Collective that exudes similarity to PSJ’s outfit and a paneled crepe jumpsuit from Galvan inspired by Jennie’s full Chanel look.

Blackpink Jisoo’s ‘Flower’ Music Video Outfits

On March 31, Jisoo of Blackpink released her debut solo, “Flowers.” The Korean pop star did not disappoint her fans with her delicate dance moves, enticing vocals, ethereal beauty, and, of course, her jaw-dropping outfits.

In the beginning of the video, Jisoo donned a white ruffled mini dress; she then transitioned into a crystal-embellished top with a patchwork heart in the middle paired with a print miniskirt.

Steal this look: Our favourites are her Dior black lace top, a corset belt, and a ruffled skirt outfit where she was seen walking across the hotel rooms and the floral dress designed by Seoul-based haute couture fashion house Lee y. Lee y.

We’re also a big fan of her asymmetric pink dress from Rick Owens and the iconic little black dress with a red cut-out top by Rui and red tights and platform heels that she wore at the chorus of “Flower.”

Fans were also astounded by her stunning appearance in a purple Versace lace dress and tights. The singer sparkled in a sequin-covered crop top with matching ruffled shorts, which were also designed by Lee y. Lee y.

It is also impossible to forget Jisoo’s "pink fashion moment" as she danced gracefully in a sheer pink blouse and crystal knee-high boots.
