UOB Malaysia Revamps Mobile App Thru AI, Machine Learning

To make mobile banking easier and more personalised for its users, UOB Malaysia has launched an AI- and machine-learning-based mobile app, “UOB TMRW.”

The app allows UOB customers to monitor their investment’s real-time performance, claim coupons on the go via the Rewards+ feature, and use them to enjoy deals and discounts from the bank’s partner merchants, it said in a press release.

UOB is also looking to add more self-service features in the app, including payment installment applications, card activations, and card replacements.

“At UOB, we are committed to understand and serve the unique needs of each customer and this is achieved through a combination of data and relationship-led insights. Through UOB TMRW, the Bank offers insights and solutions that are closely aligned to customer needs in a manner that engages them and better anticipates their life goals,” said Ronnie Lim, managing director and country head of personal financial services at UOB Malaysia.
