KL Fashion Week Marks 11th Year with Exciting New Format and Seven Venues

Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2023 (KLFW) returns for its 11th year of celebration, and this time, it's all about embracing change and pushing boundaries. With a week-long extravaganza spread across seven different venues, KLFW is set to captivate fashion enthusiasts from Aug. 21-27.

Founder Andrew Tan is excited to take on this ambitious challenge. As KLFW enters its 11th year, it's the perfect opportunity to break free from convention and match the audacity of the participating designers.

The city of Kuala Lumpur will be celebrated during this fashion week, with each day being hosted at a distinct venue. From the iconic Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which serves as the event's home, to the equally captivating Sofitel Damansara, Parkroyal Collection KL, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, Platinum Park KL, Aloft KL Sentral, Boathouse Kuala Lumpur, and Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur, the runways will come alive with creativity and style.

A total of 50 designers and brands are set to showcase their stunning ready-to-wear collections. The opening show will feature eight designers from the prestigious Malaysian Official Designers' Association, adding a touch of elegance and glamour to kickstart the week. Additionally, seven new designer labels will make their debut, infusing fresh perspectives into the fashion scene.

KLFW 2023 goes beyond the glam, emphasising sustainability through its continued advocacy. The "Design To Sustain" segment builds upon the success of KLFW 2022, while the newly introduced "Asia Fashion Xchange," led by Indonesian brand Buttonscarves, promises exciting new perspectives. “Fashion Connect.23” also makes a comeback, offering educational events and valuable networking opportunities. Lastly, the highly anticipated Kuala Lumpur Fashion Awards will recognize and honor excellence in the industry.
