Award-winning Malaysian film "Tiger Stripes" is once again representing the country for the Best International Feature Film category at the 96th Academy Award (Oscars) happening in March next year.

Through a press release, the Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) has announced the selection of the film decided by the Film Selections Committee (JKPF) of the organization.

Composed of experts and professionals from the local film industry, the film was selected in compliance with the participation regulations mandated by the Oscars organisers.

Directed by Amanda Nell Eu, "Tiger Stripes" recently received the Grand Prix Award at the Cannes Film Festival in France and a Special Jury Mention under the First Feature Film category at the 27th Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada.

"Tiger Stripes" fearlessly explores the unique body horror genre of growing up as a female, vividly depicting the challenges of puberty and the journey through the character of a 12-year-old girl.
