Restaurant snapshot: Lakeside Trattoria joins the Wynn Resorts repertoire in Macau and Cotai with a casual dining experience, focusing on the foundations of Italian dining: fruity antipasti, cheesy pizzas, garlic-driven pasta, cured secondi, and gelati to remember.
Vibe and venue: The Italian dining room is situated beyond the rush of the glitzy shops and hotel lobbies housed within the Macau resort. It elegantly sits in eyeshot of the Nam Van Lake, concocting a similar dining vibe at Lake Como in north Italy, albeit in the heat and luxury of Macau.
Value for time & money: Time is not an issue dining at Lakeside Tratorria with a dedicated team tending to speedy service. I would argue that Italian-imported produce and fine craft equate to great value for a meal shared between two and four.
Menu highlights: Among signature dishes heralded by the Wynn team, highlights include Insalata di Polpo, Casareccie con Gamberi e Granchio, “Nicos” Lasanga, Veal Parmigiana, Margherita, and Nutella Pillow.
What we tasted: Shared between two during a weekday lunch, we tucked into an Insalata Caprese, Carpaccio di Manzo, Pollo “Spatchcock” allo Spiedo, Quattro Formaggi, and Tortino al Cioccolato.
Hits & misses: Flavouring the Puglia-favourite of the classic Buratta at Lakeside Trattoria scored highly on my card – creamy and sweet. The carpaccio equally held a suitable balance of salt and sour. I wish the yellow chicken was substituted for an Italian fowl to maintain authenticity, rather than using a local Hong Kong product.
The midday must-have: In my book, you must order the Quattro Formaggi, four-cheese pizza, for strong aromatic and salty notes. The cheese flavours blend between strong blue cheese and mozzarella for a different flavour each bite. Addictive!
Final verdict: Lakeside Trattoria is a suitable inclusion in the wealthy list of fine dining establishments and eateries at Wynn Resorts. It excels for what it’s advertised for: ample Italian dining at a good price point in a quaint and quiet location.

Get ready to indulge in the finest seafood while making a difference at the Sustainable SEAFood Festival, happening across Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore throughout June 2025.
Organized by the Hong Kong Sustainable Seafood Coalition (HKSSC), this four-week festival is a celebration of ocean-friendly cuisine, held in honor of World Oceans Day.
From June 1 to 30,2025, over 45 restaurants from hotels and meal delivery services in the three global culinary hubs will feature specially crafted dishes made with certified sustainable seafood, giving you the perfect opportunity to enjoy flavors that are as responsible as they are delicious.
Hotels such as Grand Hyatt, TheMurray, Sands Macau and morefrom the participating cities will be serving up sustainable seafood options on their à la carte and regular set menus.
Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore are known for their vibrant seafood scenes, but the demand for ocean delicacies often outpaces responsible sourcing.
This festival changes that by making sustainable seafood options easy to find and even easier to enjoy. Highlights include Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, serving up MEL-certified oysters paired with fresh ingredients like Tomatillo, Granny Smith Apple, Jalapeño, and Thai Basil.
“Sustainable seafood is fresher, more flavorful, and speaks to the values of transparency and care that discerning diners increasingly seek. Sustainability is not a trend — it is a necessity,” says Richard Ekkebus, Culinary Director of Amber.

Over in Singapore, 5 ON 25 at Andaz will offer MSC-certified Crispy-Fried Black Cod. In Macau, Brasserie at The Parisian will unveil a five-course World Oceans Day Seafood Festival Menu, including BAP-certified Butter Sauteed Prawns flambéed with Pernod on Tomato, Bell Pepper and Saffron sauce.
Make sure to check out the full list of participating restaurants and sustainable dishes featured in the festival on HKSSC’s website.
