Get Artsy With Tap Siac Craft Market's Creative Workshops From April 20
The Tap Siac Craft Market, organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), will open to the public from April 20-23 and 27-30. Offering more than 50 creative workshops, the event aims to showcase handicrafts not just in Macau but throughout Asia.
The workshops, which include 10 sessions for families, come in various fields, such as ceramics, glass, bonsai, painting, accessories, and leather, as per a press release by the IC on March 27.
The Tap Siac Craft Market has been around since 2008 and is held twice a year in Macau during Spring and Autumn. Registration for the workshops opened on March 28 and will run until April 3 via the craft market's website.
Each handicraft workshop costs MOP50, with every person allowed to register for two workshops and one registration per workshop only to allow other residents to participate. Children signing up for family workshops may register for up to two workshops and only once per workshop, as per the release.
Selection of participants will be done by drawing lots, which will be announced on April 11. Those on the waitlist will be notified on April 14.
