Macau Tennis Masters at MGM in December Featuring Bencic, Fritz, Tiafoe
MGM and IMG are partnering to host the first MGM Macau Tennis Masters on December 2 and 3, 2023, at the Macao East Asian Games Dome.
The invitational exhibition event will feature four men and two women competing in a best-of-three-sets format. The first confirmed female player is world number 14 Belinda Bencic, while men’s number 9 Taylor Fritz and number 10 Frances Tiafoe are the first male players confirmed. The remaining three players will be announced soon.
This mixed hard-court event will also feature a 10-point match tiebreak instead of a third set. The tournament will begin with two men's singles matches and one mixed doubles match on the first day of competition.
On the second day, there will be one women's singles match and two men's singles matches, followed by the awards ceremony.
The esteemed masters event is part of the Macau government's "sports + tourism" development plan, which emphasizes non-gaming aspects as a priority.
