Poetry, Dance Meld in This Performance at Venetian Macao on Aug. 24-28

This week, gear up for a memorable performance at the Venetian Macao that marries poetry, dance, and drama at once.

"Poetic Dance: The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" follows a tale related to "A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers." The latter is a known traditional Chinese landscape painting that has been around for almost a thousand years and was reportedly created by a young man named Ximeng, an 18-year-old genius.

Space and time intertwine in this show as a modern-day Palace Museum researcher, in his attempt to study the thousand-year-old painting, steps into Ximeng's world to witness its creation and the youth's genius and creative process. "Poetic Dance" comprises seven chapters, namely "Scroll Unfolding," "Seal Tracing," "Silk Reeling," "Minerals Exploring," "Brush Making," "Ink Grinding," and "Painting Alive."
