7 'Wicked'-Inspired Looks to Glinda-fy Your Wardrobe This Season

We don’t know about you, but we absolutely love “Wicked” season — and no, we’re not talking about pumpkins and ghosts. If, like us, you’ve been changed for good by the dazzling looks of the “Wicked” cast, both on-screen and throughout the show-stopping red-carpet press tour, then this one’s for you!
From shimmering Glinda-coded pastels to bold, bewitching Elphaba greens, the film has sparked a new wave of fashion inspiration that’s all about magic, confidence, and a touch of theatrics. Whether you’re ready to Glinda-fy your wardrobe with playful and ethereal glam or channel your inner Elphaba with fierce, empowered silhouettes, here are some bewitching looks to elevate your style this season.
Sexy Black Lace Dress

Cynthia Erivo, the powerful actress behind Elphaba, stunned in a black, sheer Vivienne Westwood gown during the Singapore premiere, which showed off her incredible figure and rarely-seen tattoos.
You can never go wrong with black, so if you’re looking for something sultry and sexy for a romantic date or a night out with the girls, this black tube dress from Love, Bonito (P2,580) has a lace and leather design that’s giving fierce, sweet, and everything in between. The floral pattern even mimics the one on Cynthia’s dress!

Magical Wedding Gown

One of the most jaw-dropping moments when the trailer for “Wicked: For Good” dropped earlier this year was seeing Ariana Grande walking down the aisle in a gorgeous white gown.
If you fell in love with her wedding look, we found a similar dress with that lovely heart-shaped neckline and an A-line skirt at Ivory and White Bridal Store. The Marin gown is elegant and timeless, made with tulle, lace, and delicate beading. Alternatively, the Regina dress also has a similar design but is made with a crisp and luxurious Mikado fabric that will make any bride feel like royalty.

The “Popular” Dress

One of our favorite looks in “Wicked Part I” is Glinda’s “Popular” dress, a hot pink ensemble made with a long tulle bolero with spiral-like patterns on the shoulders and at the skirt’s hem. It’s playful, pretty, and carries the very essence of Glinda’s character.
If you want to be popular like Glinda the Good, why not try this Hot Pink Tulle Gown (P7,999) from Vestido Manila for size? Perfect for daytime parties or lunches, the dress’ skirt ruffles give it a playful vibe, and the color is almost identical to the dress Ariana Grande wore in the film!

Morrible’s Black Gown

At the London premiere, Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh stepped onto the red carpet wearing a custom-made black velvet gown with sculptured French lace detailing by self-portrait. The cast had opted for darker ensembles during this leg of the tour, with most of them wearing black and blues.
If you’re looking to mirror Madame Morrible’s regal look, RoyAnne Camillia Couture’s Quincy gown (P2,000) has a similar detailing across the chest with a gorgeous skirt. Wear it with some high heels and some shiny jewelry, and you’re sure to set off a tornado (of compliments) at the party.

Blue and Black Dress

In the same premiere, Cynthia wore a glorious Prada ensemble consisting of a blue satin tech dress with a full skirt embellished by laminated vinyl inlays. It was also paired with a black leather belt and a laminated vinyl cape. We don’t know about you, but she was looking fly. Definitely a look that defied gravity.
What we loved most about the dress is the blue and black combo. The midnight blue is a nice pop of color among the sea of blacks, and it’s a great way to stand out in the crowd. The holiday season calls for a lot of dinner parties, and while everyone will be going for black cocktail dresses, this black and blue mini dress (P1,260) from Love, Bonito might just turn some heads. Pair it with some black strappy heels and a cute clutch, and you’re good to go!

Black and White Striped Dress

Another eye-catching look from the “Wicked: For Good” premiere tour is Michelle Yeoh’s Schiaparelli dress. The actress wore this striped, sleeveless black and white dress to the fan-exclusive event at the Weave in Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore, and we love how chic she looked! It’s fresh, and that asymmetrical stripes look really cool and flattering for her figure.
Love, Ara has a mini dress with black and blue stripes that’s perfect for your next summer outing or even a weekend stroll around the city. You can pair it with some white sneakers or strappy sandals to elevate the look.

Dorothy-Inspired Dress
“Wicked: For Good” is the part of Elphaba and Glinda’s story that overlaps with the original tale of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” which means we’ll be seeing some familiar characters, particularly one whose house flew into a twister and landed on the Wicked Witch of the East.
Dorothy Gale’s blue and white checkered dress has always been an iconic look, and if you’re looking to channel that sweet girl vibe, Corset Bloomfield creates custom dresses in varying colors and patterns. We especially loved this pink checkered corset dress, which is giving Dorothy and Glinda combined!
