Olivia Rodrigo Donates All Manila Concert Proceeds to Non-Profit Org

Three-time Grammy award-winner Olivia Rodrigo made her much-anticipated stop in the Philippines for her GUTS World Tour last Oct. 5, performing for more than 50,000 fans, making it her biggest crowd yet!
The Gen Z icon known for tracks such as "Driver's License" and "Get Him Back!" made waves a few weeks prior to her Philippine Arena show when Live Nation PH announced that the concert would be sold as “Silver Star Tickets” with each priced at P1,500.
Moreover, Olivia also announced after the show in a heartfelt Instagram post that all net proceeds of the concert will be donated to the non-profit Jhpiego Philippines, an organization that helps to provide health care to women and girls in the country. This commitment is in line with the pop star’s global initiative, Fund 4 Good, which promotes equity and justice for women and girls’ rights.
“I got to visit the organization while I was in Manila and was so impressed by the work they are doing providing healthcare to women and girls in the Philippines. It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip,” the 21-year-old singer wrote in her post as she thanked Filipino Livies for making her dream show a reality.
About Jhpiego
According to the website, Jhpiego is a global non-profit organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, an American institution known for its medical research dedicated to improving the health of women and families. The organization was founded in 1973 and has supported the Philippines since 1980.
Jhpiego’s main areas of concern in the country include:
- Adolescent & Young Health
- Family Planning and Reproductive Health
- Gender & Equity
- Global Health Security
- Maternal, Newborn & Child Health
- Primary Health Care
- Women’s Cancers
The organization addressed these issues through several projects such as the Sexual Health and Empowerment: Women’s Voice and Leadership (SHE) which aims to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights for women and girls in six underserved and disadvantaged regions of the Philippines; and the Scale Up Cervical Cancer Elimination with Secondary Prevention Strategy (SUCCESS) which seeks to eliminate cervical cancer in the country through secondary prevention — that is early detection to slow or halt its progress.

The organization has also made notable achievements through the years. The SHE project has reached almost 6,800 women, as well as 250 men, 149 girls, and 80 boys through family planning outreach and practicum service provisions. It also helped recondition 62 health facilities to be adolescent-friendly. On the other hand, the SUCCESS and CLAMS (Centralized Laboratory Model for HPV Screening) projects have allowed more than 45,000 women to be screened for HPV DNA.
