Emo Night Manila, the DJ-driven event series that has become a cultural touchstone for fans of 2000s emo and pop punk, is celebrating its second anniversary with its most ambitious party yet.
This milestone event is set to take place on June 14, 2025, at the McKinley Whisky Park, BGC, featuring a landmark live performance by Filipino emo rock legends Chicosci — a first in the event’s history.

What first started as a passion project in a small bar in Poblacion, Makati City, rapidly turned into a movement built on word-of-mouth buzz and a fiercely loyal online community. Emo Night Manila (ENM) became a sanctuary for millennialsreliving the soundtrack of their youth, and for Gen Z fans discovering the subculture they were too young to experience the first time around.
“Emo Night Manila was never about the nostalgia alone,” said the ENM team. “It’s about creating a space where people can enjoy that concert-like euphoria of singing their favorite songs with others and just belong. The music is the anchor, but the community is what makes it powerful. The connections and new friendships we’ve witnessed along the way empower what we do even more.”
The anniversary event will feature the full ENM DJ roster before and after Chicosci’s performance, known for curating emotionally charged, high-energy sets that blend genre staples with deep cuts.

Adding to this immersive emo experience, 9Lives Tattoo Studio will host a pop-up tattoo and piercing booth on-site, giving guests the chance to mark their night in more ways than one. Emo Night Manila will also unveil a new limited-edition merch collection, which has become a beloved tradition that fans wear with pride — much like band tour merch.
Moving forward, Emo Night Manila plans to expand across the Philippines and bring the experience to cities like Cebu and Davao, and to return to island destinations like Boracay, where ENM has already hosted two successful events.
Tickets are now available at emonightph.com, with options for single passes (P1,500, but there's an online discounted rate of P1,200) and tables for up to six guests (P12,000).
Come join in the misery business and relive the soundtrack of your youth at Emo Night Manila this June 14, 2025! Follow Emo Night Manila on Facebook and Instagram to get more updates and schedules for their next events!

Celebrate the longest day of the year this June with amazing musical performances from some of the best local and international acts.
Fête de la Musique Philippinesreturns for its 31st year with the theme “Un Monde” or One World, emphasizing music's incredible power to unite diverse cultures and bridge the Philippines to the world. Presented by Alliance Française de Manille alongside its partners, this free and open-to-all music festival has been a cornerstone of the Philippine music calendar, offering free live music performances across various stages and genres, spanning from Northern Luzon, across the Visayas, to Southern Mindanao.
The theme for this year highlights the festival’s commitment to fostering international camaraderie and understanding through music, as it expands the spotlight to international acts and partners.
“This is a cultural homecoming,” described Mathilde Séjourné, cultural counselor of the Embassy of France to the Philippines. “A moment for Filipinos to come together and global audiences to reconnect with the spirit of the Philippines and embrace the beauty of other unique cultural traditions.”
The Beat Manila got to attend the press launch on May 28 at the Long Bar in Raffles Makati, where we learned more about this year’s incredible artist lineup, special stages, and destinations where the musical events will take place. Here are the highlights:

The opening of FetePH2025 was definitely a thrilling moment as we got a first look at the month-long musical celebration that aims to bring people of all backgrounds and cultures together through music. After hearing a preview performance by singer Shanne Dandan and Filipino electronic duo Tarsius, we can assure you that this year’s festival will be even bigger and better than its predecessors.
"We are incredibly excited to bring 'Un Monde' to life for our 31st Fête de la Musique celebration," said Xavier Leroux, Executive Director of Alliance Francaise de Manille. “This year, we aim to showcase how Filipino music resonates globally, truly making us all ‘One World’ through melody and rhythm.”
“This is more than a music festival,” added Mathilde. “Fête de la Musique is a celebration of connection, creativity, and culture. It is also a call to embrace our differences, honor our roots, and unite through the rhythms that bind us all.”
