SY•NC
Debuted Nov 8, 2024
This independent and self-produced P-Pop group was introduced last year and has already been making waves in the country with sold-out shows and big endorsements being the brand ambassadors of Eggdrop in the Philippines. SY•NC means “Simple Yet Not Common” as the group wanted their concepts to be simple and relatable, but at the same time distinct and memorable to fans. It’s composed of seven members: Pen, Asa, Jai, Sevi, Lee, Clyn, and Drew.
In an exclusive interview with The Beat Asia, member Clyn explained that the meaning behind their name has a deeper meaning, quoting, “our journey was how our bond was formed, as brothers, which made us stronger and molded us as SY•NC. SY•NC is also derived from the word “synchronize,” because we also believe that everything [really] aligns for us.”
Their debut single, “Balang Araw,” is a strong reflection of their crafts and dreams and was described by Clyn as a “song of healing for [their] fans and families,” setting it apart from the more high-spirited and choreo-centric debut tracks of many P-Pop acts.
