A new year is about to begin, and Michelin Guide Thailand 2024 is coming in with newly awarded restaurants on their sleeves — a total of 447 establishments and 35 restaurants with MICHELIN stars.

Following the recently concluded Michelin Guide Malaysia 2024, Thailand has now followed suit to celebrate the food industry by awarding MICHELIN stars to deserving ones.

Two new restaurants received two MICHELIN stars: Baan Tepa, which is known for their contemporary Thai tasting menu, and Indian restaurant Gaa, which is now the second Indian restaurant in the world to receive two MICHELIN stars.

Six food establishments have been added to the list of restaurants with one MICHELIN star, with three of them being promoted from MICHELIN selected. A new restaurant, J'AIME by Jean-Michel Lorain, has also emerged, receiving the MICHELIN Green Star for its dedication to striving for a more sustainable future.

Michelin Guide also recognized different individuals for their contributions and impact on the food industry in the country.

Overall, Micheline Guide Thailand 2024 awarded 7 two MICHELIN Stars (2 promoted from one MICHELIN Star), 28 one MICHELIN Star (3 new and 3 promoted from MICHELIN Selected), 4 MICHELIN Green Star (1 new), 196 Bib Gourmand (28 new and 4 moved from MICHELIN Selected), and 216 MICHELIN Selected (37 new).
