Looking for the best restos in the city? Well, you’re in luck. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants unveiled their list for this year, and it includes two entries from Bangkok: Le Du and Gaggan Anand.
Both first-timers, Le Du and Gaggan Anand landed on the 15th and 17th spots, respectively.

Located in Silom, Bangkok, Le Du is a one Michelin-starred restaurant known for showcasing Thailand’s agricultural bounty. Last March, it claimed the first spot in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 ranking by a panel of more than 300 experts.
Gaggan Anand, on the other hand, is located in Sukhumvit. The restaurant is known for its out-of-the-box presentations and menus that create “a culinary adventure of the senses.” It was voted 5th in the same ranking for Asian restaurants.
Meanwhile, Peruvian resto Central bagged the top spot in the global rankings. It was also hailed as the Best Restaurant in South America for this year. Second place went to Disfrutar of Barcelona, Spain, which also nabbed the Best Restaurant in Europe title.
The awarding ceremony was held on June 20 at Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences with the world’s most esteemed chefs, media, and foodies. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is often regarded as the “Oscars of fine dining.”
