TAT Leads Signing of Agreement With Bitkub Metaverse to Boost Tourism
In an effort to promote Thai tourism with blockchain technology, Bitkub Blockchain Technology Co., Ltd. and the Tourism of Thailand (TAT) inked a memorandum of understanding during a press conference via Facebook Live on May 12.
In the third quarter of this year, TAT plans to launch its first virtual office along with a tourism-related exhibition and marketplace. Deputy Governor for Digital Research and Development Nithee Seeprae believes that this partnership has the potential to attract younger tourists who are familiar with the metaverse world.
The Bitkub Metaverse, a part of the virtual universe called XRB Galaxy, is designed as a new colonial planet where everyone can experience the future for the next 10,000 years!
Apart from entertainment, Bitkub also offers e-wallet services where users can purchase items from virtual stores and attractions within the metaverse. Other exciting features that will be added soon are the cooking show by Jay Fai, a Michelin-starred street food restaurant, and the boxing fights of Thai boxer Buakao.
