First Pattaya Film Festival to Run From June 15 19 in Seaside Town

Great news, film buffs! The inaugural Pattaya Film Festival will officially launch on June 15-19 in the Thai seaside town.

Organised by the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), the festival is part of the government’s bid to promote Pattaya as a “location for film shooting.”

Movie fanatics can look forward to a mix of classic and modern films from various parts of the globe, including Charlotte Wells’ “Aftersun,” Davy Chou’s “Return to Seoul,” Thapanee Loosuwan’s “Blue Again,” Michael Curtiz’s “Casablanca,” and more.

Acclaimed Thai films such as Pisan Akaraseni’s “The Last Song” and Yuthlert Sippapak’s “Sai Lor Fah” will also be shown at the festival.

For added excitement, South Korean director Shin Su-won will grace the event to facilitate a masterclass for aspiring filmmakers. She will also screen her films “Passenger#3” and “Hommage.”

All movie titles can be watched for free at the following locations: Mahatai Pattaya Convention Centre, SF Cinema Marina, and North Pattaya’s outdoor cinema.
