Vinyl Record Stores in Bangkok You Can Visit to Complete Your Collection

In case you haven’t heard, sales for vinyl records have been steadily increasing since the past decade. Even artists today are releasing their music in vinyl despite the popularity of music streaming sites. While you would think that the people who enjoyed their turntables in the past are responsible for this development, it’s actually the opposite. Vinyl is making a comeback, thanks to millennials and Gen Zs.

If you’re among these generations and would like to complete your collection, we’ve listed below some vinyl record stores you can visit in Bangkok.

ZudRangMa Records

Zudrangma Records is a chill record store owned by “mo lam revivalist” Nattapon Siangsukon or more commonly known as DJ Maft Sai. Here you’ll find a selection of global music, funk, disco, and traditional records like reissues of mo lam and luk thung (Thai country music). It’s only a few minutes from BTS Thonglor Station, so you can walk by before going home. If you’re too busy, though, you can browse through their new collections on their website or follow their Facebook to see what’s in store.

Location: ZudRangMa Records, 7/1 Sukhumvit Soi 51, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok (Google Maps)

Recoroom Vinyl & Vintage Audio

Recoroom is the place to go for great jazz, blues, soul, and hi-fi vinyl finds. It’s also home to lesser-known turntables and rare finds that are kept in good condition. Located at the corner of a building that gives old-school vibes, it’s not that hard to find thanks to its eye-catching photobooth by the entrance. Tip: You might want to splurge and spend THB1,000 or more to get a free tote bag. Can’t drop by? You can follow them on Facebook and see what’s up for sale.

Location: Recoroom, 535 32 Wat Phraya Yang Alley, Thanon Phetchaburi, Ratchathewi, Bangkok 10400, Thailand (Google Maps)

Hall of Fame Records

Entering our hall of fame (pun intended) is a well-known record store located in Fortune Town. If you’re swinging by the mall, don’t forget to browse through the many genres available on their shelves before leaving. Hall of Fame (HOF) offers new and secondhand vinyl from local and international acts, as well as box sets, headphones, and turntables. You can also shop online and view their massive collection on their website.

Sex Record Shop

Located on the second floor of a contemporary complex, Sex Record Shop is the “must-have address for every vinyl collector.” Here you’ll find a wide range of new and secondhand vinyl from artists, such as John Travolta, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and more. If you’re a movie buff, you’ll surely love their dedicated corner for original film soundtracks. Follow their Facebook for updates on new LPs and other records they have on stock.

8 Musique

Collector or not, you’ll appreciate what’s on the shelf at 8 Musique. They offer new and rare records, though their selection leans more on modern CDs and vinyl. You’ll also find here secondhand releases, collectible box sets, and reissues of classic, contemporary, and local artists. What’s more, they’re open until 9:30 PM, so you don’t have to rush and can take your time browsing for a piece to take home. Follow them on Facebook to see what records are available.
