You Can Now Share Instagram Feed Posts, Reels to 'Close Friends' Only

Instagram is letting its users take more control over sharing photos and videos with their followers as the social media application has rolled out its “close friends” feature to its main feed!

With the new feature, Instagram users can now share their feed posts and Instagram Reels with their own curated list of “close friends,” a feature that was previously launched on Stories and Notes.

To create a “close friends” post, tap on the “add post” button, then choose a photo or Reel that you would like to share. You will then be directed to pages that will let you edit the post. After making your preferred edits, click “next.”

Under the tab “audience,” choose the “close friends” option, write your caption, manage your sharing preferences, and when your post is all ready, tap on “share!”

Before posting, you can also add or remove people from your list.

Instagram’s “close friends” feature was first launched in 2018 to allow users to share stories with a smaller circle of followers. It also came with the launch of Instagram Notes in December last year.
