Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang was able to launch his own clothing line business at the age of 21, climbing his way up the popularity ladder to become one of the most popular fashion icons in Asia. As his company evolved, they featured a unique collection of apparel and accessories for men and women. Wang’s self-named brand also made a fashion show debut at the New York Fashion Week.
At present, the Taiwanese-American designer is also the Creative Director of the Paris-based fashion house, Balenciaga.
Datuk Jimmy Choo
Founder of the luxury brand, Jimmy Choo Ltd., Datuk Jimmy Choo is a fashion icon in Asia who started making handmade shoes together with his family in Malaysia.
His pursuit of a unique style and attention to detail helped him to achieve success and gain the attention of well-known personalities including Princess Diana of Wales.
The company is currently managed by Mr. Choo’s niece, Sandra Choi since 2001.
Grace Han
A social media advocate and fashion icon in Asia, Grace Han is the former Asia-Pacific head of Ford Models. Also called the “Chinese godmother of modeling,” she trained the top models in the industry such as Chinese supermodels Lu Yan, Du Juan, and Sui He.
Jasmine Sokko
Singaporean singer-songwriter Jasmine Sokko captured the headlines for bringing in a mysterious image wearing an EDM visor. Her best-selling tracks focus on electronic music that ranked on charts in China.
Aside from her interest in music, Sokko’s fashion sense led her to become one of the emerging tastemakers in this generation. She describes her style as “Futurism in black essence.”
Liu Wen
Liu Wen started her modeling career in 2005. She is remarkably one of the top models and fashion icons in Asia as she was the first model from the region to become part of Estée Lauder campaigns and walk on the runway as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
In 2008, the Chinese model landed her career in the global fashion scene where she dominated the runway with luxury brands including Burberry, Trussardi, Chanel, Tory Burch, Prada, Hugo Boss, and many more.
Marga Nograles
Filipina fashion designer Marga Nograles is the owner of Kaayo Modern Mindanao, a fashion label based in Davao, Philippines. “Kaayo” came from the Bisaya dialect that means goodness in English.
Her venture features fashion pieces that are intricately made by Mindanao’s indigenous tribes like Bagobo-Tagabawa and the Tboli. They use vibrant weaves, delicate patterns, and hand-made jewelry to promote tribal fashion in a modern way.
Sonia Eryka
A prominent pop singer and art director/creator born in Indonesia, Sonia Eryka is also a fashion enthusiast who worked with American fashion designer Marc Jacobs.
Eryka’s interest in styling began in 2010 and she continues to expand her influence through online and print media including Elle Girl, Teen Vogue, Vogue Japan, Bazaar Indonesia, Vogue Italia, and Company UK, among others.
Eryka also supports Kasmaran Indonesia, a slow fashion brand that manufactures handcrafted Indonesian textiles.
Vera Wang
Dubbed as one of America's Richest Self-Made Women in 2018, Vera Wang is a Chinese-American fashion icon who is popular for her avant-garde bridal gowns, engagement rings, cosmetics, and dinner plates. Wang has worked with various designer brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue, and Ralph Lauren.
