Six Comeback Fashion Trends We Love To See In 2025

Trends come and go but there are some pieces and designs that, in Taylor Swift’s words, “never go out of style.” 2024 saw many interesting things in fashion from the resurgence of the Bohemian look and “Brat green” being the unofficial color of the summer season (thanks to Charli XCX) to bags getting an excessive amount of charms.
As the new year unfolds, fashion trends will shift once more and although styles, colors, and looks that are set to define the year are only starting to take shape, we can still take a guess from the latest collections and fashion pieces being featured by well-known brands and worn by our fave celebrities and fashion icons. Besides, fashion trends are much like history, it’s only a matter of time before they repeat themselves.
So here are six fashion trends that are returning this 2025 according to experts and recently released collections.
Animal Prints
The leopard print took over in 2024 and style experts believe this will still be carried over to this year with global brands like Versace, Givenchy, and COS jumping on the trend. Some of the latest releases highlight other animal prints specifically the tiger and cow prints, which add a confident streak to any look whether it’s a casual day out or a formal evening date.
Music and beauty icon, Rihanna, had been sporting animal prints towards the end of 2024, and other celebrities such as Hailey Bieber and Elle Fanning also gave their stamp of approval to the trend, having been spotted (pun intended) wearing them earlier this month.
It’s a no-brainer that this trend is here to stay, and dare we say that in 2025, more people will be proudly wearing their stripes and spots.
Sleek Women Suits
Fashion is going corporate but more chic! Experts believe posh fashion is making a comeback with staples like fitted vests, statement blazers, and wide-leg trousers trending in the past year. Who says you can’t be a boss and a fashion icon at the same time?
Some of the year’s predicted hottest accessories include glove pumps, loafers, and top-handle bags that complete the whole CEO look. We’ve also seen suits worn by showbiz personalities on the red carpet, donning suites in stylish shades such as burgundy and corporate gray, proving that the suit is destined for more than just the office.
Brown and Burgundy
Speaking of colors, some of the biggest color trends in 2024 are most likely to cross over to this year too, with several collections featuring browns, mochas, and burgundy shades. According to Stylight’s 2025 fashion forecast, there’s a 46% increase in clicks on burgundy and brown pieces, predicting them to be the leading colors of 2025.
When Sabrina Carpenter said, “That’s that me, Espresso,” she was really referring to how these colors will be the new neutrals of 2025, set to take over bags, jackets, dresses, sweaters, shoes, and more!
Skinny Jeans
Good news, millennials! The skinny jeans are predicted to make a comeback thanks to the “Millennial-core trend,” which started on TikTok when Gen Zs compiled videos of millennials behaving in “very millennial ways.” In our defense, these jeans are far from cringe and have been proven to be a wardrobe essential enduring the tests of time (and social media) and remain a must-have piece that can complete any kind of look from casual chic to business casual and rock n’ roll vibes.
To the millennials reading this, you’re still cool. So, pull out those skinny jeans from the back of your closet and make 2025 your year!
Puma Sneakers
The good ole sneakers will forever and always be one of our favorite trends. From the iconic Converse Chuck Taylors to Nike’s Air Force 1, these footwear remind us that comfort can come hand in hand with style.
In 2024, it was all about the Adidas Sambas, but this year, German athleisure and casual clothing and footwear brand, Puma, has officially entered the chat with their latest sneaker model, Speedcat.
A nod to racing culture, these sleek sneakers have a low-profile silhouette, a suede exterior, and a signature T-toe design. With a grippy rubber outsole and snug fit, the Speedcat sneakers are great as casual, everyday footwear that adds a sporty edge to your look. The collection boasts a variety of colors, too, and has been worn by several celebrities such as Dua Lipa, Heart Evangelista, and Rosé of Blackpink.
Skant / Skirts Over Pants
Skirts had a moment in 2024 with the resurgence of the maxi and midi skirts made from materials like denim and silk. This year, get ready for a bold fashion hybrid encouraged by the recent “skirt-over-pants” trend. Why choose one when you can have both, right?
This bold look originally came from the 2000s and focuses on reinventing the art of layering for unique, original silhouettes. In 2025, experts predict that this trend will evolve into something bolder: the Skant, which is an abbreviation of the words “skirt” and “pant.” The look has already been highlighted several times on the runways of Fashion Week such in Loewe and Courrèges’s Spring/Summer 2025 collections. This hybrid piece is believed to be a modern version of the traditional Hakama — Japanese trousers adapted from imperial China. Now that's a comeback!
