In cooperation with The Malaysian Food and Beverage Executives Association, Informa Markets, and the Professional Culinaire Association of Malaysia, the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) brings back “Culinaire Malaysia” this year, with about 1,200 food and beverage professionals expected to join.

One of the most coveted culinary competitions in the country, "Culinaire Malaysia" will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Sept. 19-22. The event is also expected to draw about 100 culinary experts as judges and over 5,000 visitors from around the world.

The competition will hold several contests, also dubbed “classes,” for various skills, including patisserie, butchery, mixology, and flairtending, each with a different set of criteria. Along with a medal to be awarded to those with high scores, special awards will also be given out to recognise outstanding participants in each class.

The event will be held in conjunction with the “Food and Hotel Exhibition Malaysia 2023,” Informa Markets’ 17th edition of its biennial exhibition for the culinary and hospitality industries. It will feature over 1,500 exhibitors across 15 countries and welcome 25,000 quality trade visitors.

Registrations for “Culinaire Malaysia” will end on Aug. 11 via the event’s website. A complete copy of the rule book, containing guidelines, criteria, and registration requirements, can also be downloaded here.
