Hong Kong’s premier Belgian beer hall, FRITES Belgium on Tap, makes its grand entrance to Macau with a new dining destination that combines the authentic beer hall experience with 1920s jazz glamour.

Set within the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort, this new venue echoes the elegance of a 1920s Belgian Brasserie, elevating its signature artistic design elements from Hong Kong with luxurious designs and furnishings, such as chandeliers on high ceilings, exquisite stained-glass art, and a massive grand hall perfect for hosting gatherings. It also has a dedicated Jazz photo wall, which serves as the perfect backdrop for capturing previous memories.

If you want a more intimate experience, FRITES Belgium on Tap Macau also offers two private dining rooms that accommodate eight to 14 guests. These rooms include an audio system, large TV screens, and a comfortable sofa area, making them ideal for private events, business meetings, and special occasions.

Furthermore, the restaurant doubles as a live music hall where diners can delight in dazzling jazz performances by its five-piece house band every Tuesday to Saturday from 8 PM.

Flavors and Sips: Menu Highlights

What is a party without great food? Beyond the luxurious atmosphere lies a decadent array of culinary delights that pay homage to Belgium’s rich gastronomic heritage. As a nod to Belgium’s national dish, the restaurant is highlighting Moules-Frites, made from premium, sustainably farmed Kinkawooka mussels sourced directly from South Australia. These mussels, known for their creamy texture and sweet flavor, are flown in within 48 hours from harvest, so you can be sure that they are at their freshest.

Guest can also savor their signature Belgian Steak Frites, alongside Macau-exclusive offers such as the Marinated Tuna, Salmon Gravlax, Super Quinoa Salad, Burrata Salad, and Duck à l'orange. For dessert, the Dame Blanche, Crème Brûlée Cheesecake, and the popular Waffle Bomb Alaska, made with Belgian Liège waffles, fluffy meringue mountain, and homemade ice cream, wrap up a perfectly great meal, completing the dining experience.

Dive Into the Sustainable SEAFood Festival This June

Get ready to indulge in the finest seafood while making a difference at the Sustainable SEAFood Festival, happening across Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore throughout June 2025.

Organized by the Hong Kong Sustainable Seafood Coalition (HKSSC), this four-week festival is a celebration of ocean-friendly cuisine, held in honor of World Oceans Day.

From June 1 to 30, 2025, over 45 restaurants from hotels and meal delivery services in the three global culinary hubs will feature specially crafted dishes made with certified sustainable seafood, giving you the perfect opportunity to enjoy flavors that are as responsible as they are delicious.

Hotels such as Grand Hyatt, The Murray, Sands Macau and more from the participating cities will be serving up sustainable seafood options on their à la carte and regular set menus.

Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore are known for their vibrant seafood scenes, but the demand for ocean delicacies often outpaces responsible sourcing.

This festival changes that by making sustainable seafood options easy to find and even easier to enjoy. Highlights include Amber at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, serving up MEL-certified oysters paired with fresh ingredients like Tomatillo, Granny Smith Apple, Jalapeño, and Thai Basil.

“Sustainable seafood is fresher, more flavorful, and speaks to the values of transparency and care that discerning diners increasingly seek. Sustainability is not a trend — it is a necessity,” says Richard Ekkebus, Culinary Director of Amber.

Over in Singapore, 5 ON 25 at Andaz will offer MSC-certified Crispy-Fried Black Cod. In Macau, Brasserie at The Parisian will unveil a five-course World Oceans Day Seafood Festival Menu, including BAP-certified Butter Sauteed Prawns flambéed with Pernod on Tomato, Bell Pepper and Saffron sauce.

Calling all globetrotting gourmands — the much-anticipated MGM x RR1HK Culinary Masters Macau is back for its third edition from June 7 to 8, 2025, taking place across the glittering halls of MGM COTAI and MGM MACAU.

After two successful editions in partnership with Robb Report Hong Kong, this two-day culinary fête will run under this year’s theme, “Flavors of Harmony: A Culinary Journey Through East Asia.”

At the heart of the event is an eight-hands gala dinner on June 7, which will see four MICHELIN-starred chefs unveil their interpretation of harmony through an extraordinary blend of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean gastronomy.

Cheung Yat Fung is the master of refined Chaozhou cuisine from Beijing’s three-star Chao Shang Chao. He will be joined by Kang Mingoo (the trailblazer behind Seoul’s Mingles), Hiroki Nakanoue (the dynamic chef of Sushiyoshi), and Pan Sihui, the rising star behind Aji, known for his bold take on Asian bistronomy with a French twist.

To further elevate the journey, special guests Chef Yang Dengquan of the MICHELIN-starred Five Foot Road and Macanese culinary icon Chef Antonieta Manhão will craft bespoke cultural tasting experiences, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of Greater China and beyond.

Guests can also enjoy a Sichuan-style luncheon by Chef Yang and explore Chengdu Mansion-style cuisine. There will be the chance to take part in MICHELIN-starred, interactive cooking classes and masterclasses on maotai, Champagne, sake, and caviar.

Ditching the scripted monologues of traditional hotel bars, Lloyd tailors each guest’s experience with a keen sense of individuality, allowing the bar’s ambiance and personalities to speak for themselves.

This March, Wing Lei Bar is kicking off its culinary-inspired guest shift series, launching on Mar. 13 at 8 PM with Union Trading Company (#48 on World's 50 Best Bars 2021). Led by General Manager Patrick Zhou, the Shanghai bar will bring bold spices and street-inspired flavors to Macau for a one-night-only event.

Meanwhile, Lloyd debuts his two-pronged cocktail program on Mar. 12, 2025.

Firstly, their redesigned signature menu features 12 reimagined takes on four classic cocktail styles — sours, stirred, classics, and alternatini — with a Wynn Palace twist. Next up, they are launching a bespoke bar program, where each drink is tailored through his signature four-question personalized approach.

Wing Lei Bar has already hosted industry heavyweights like Sebastian Atienza and Lucilia Calichio from Tres Monos (#7 on World’s 50 Best Bars 2024) and Lorenzo Antinori from Bar Leone (#2 on World’s 50 Best Bars 2024). Get ready for top-tier collaborations on the horizon — including exclusive Asia-first appearances to hit the bar in July.

This Valentine’s Day, Sands China Ltd is turning up the romance at its signature restaurants, with exclusive offers ranging from dinners by candlelight to delightful love-themed desserts. You won't want to miss bringing your special someone to celebrate love in style at The Venetian Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Londoner Macao, and Sands Macao.

At The Londoner Macao, the newly opened Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill offers a luxurious four-course meal for MOP1,888 per couple. Indulge in dishes like Oyster & Beurre Blanc, Royal Caviar, Poached Wild Turbot, or Grilled Australian Wagyu Beef Tenderloin, capped off with a classic Mille-Feuille.

Don’t forget to grab limited-edition Valentine’s sweets and cakes from Churchill's Table Boutique at The Londoner, like their beautifully presented box of chocolates, or their standout "Cupid" cake with rose and cupid's arrow motifs.

Over at The Parisian Macao, Brasserie sets the mood with a romantic MOP1,620 menu for two. To kick off your meal, start with savory appetizers such as Baked Black Truffle and Pork Pate, Seared Canadian Scallop or Lemon Grilled Portobello Mushroom.

Mains that will make you swoon include Poached Boston Lobster, Tournedos Rossini, and a dreamy dessert, Amour Sucré, featuring Champagne ganache and pistachio ice cream.

For an intimate omakase experience, head to Hiro by Hiroshi Kagata at The Venetian Macao. Their eight-course Valentine’s Day menu (MOP1,880 per person) features fresh sea urchin, sashimi, tempura, and a special dessert, perfect for a memorable date night.

Meanwhile, Sands Macao’s Copa Steakhouse serves up a five-course feast for MOP 1,888 per couple. Start with Oysters and Atlantic Lobster Velouté, followed by Char-grilled Iberico Pork Loin or Grilled M7 Shimo Farm Tenderloin, and end with the swoon-worthy Sweet Heart dessert, filled with Caribbean chocolate mousse, raspberry confit and hazelnut crunch.
