Sushi Master Hiroyuki Sato Helms Omakase Dinner Pop-up at MGM Macau
Acclaimed sushi master Hiroyuki Sato is set to return to MGM MACAU for a three-night-only 15-course omakase dinner experience, from May. 9 to 11.
Hosted at the only SUSHIDAN venture outside of Tokyo, the event will showcase the exquisite craftsmanship of authentic Edomae sushi. Chef Sato, owner-chef of the renowned sushiya restaurant Hakkoku in Tokyo, will be accompanied by his protégé, Manato Ueno, who’s the Chef de Cuisine of SUSHIDAN at Rossio.
Chef Sato is widely known for creating his own vision of the Japanese delicacy at Hakkoku, one of the top sushiya restaurants in the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza. He has also garnered a Michelin star during his tenure at a previous sushi house.
The seasoned chef’s Shari (sushi rice) is distinctively coated in a garnet shine, thanks to being mixed with his trademark Akazu, an aged seasoning that offers a vivid yet balanced acidity and a mellow aftertaste. This signature touch brings forth the umami from the Neta (seafood topping) which comprises of the finest seasonal catch that has been freshly sourced from Toyosu Fish Market.
