1. Live Sessions With Basically Saturday Night
Described as “boogie fusion” on their Spotify profile, Basically Saturday Night is the easy city rockers you need to add to your playlist. And this coming payday, they’re going to be the highlight act at the Mansion Sports Bar & Lounge. Let the blues and bass of “Runaway Man” and the hip-moving tunes of “Chemical Love” be the soundtrack to close out the month of March.

Independent music, siomai, beer, maybe a pail, and art are your company for Alt/Tab Production’s “Tabo-Tabuan: April Fool for You” event at Mow’s in Matalino. There’s a good chance you haven’t heard anybody in the lineup, and that’s a good thing. Because that means your musical taste has room to grow, with one among Kremesoda, Pikunin, Mondays at 4, Fugu Musk, Eskinita, and Hedonist on Hiatus that could be your new favorite.

3. Stuck by the Glue: beabadoobee Night
Beatrice is immortal. But it’s never too early to give someone as talented as beabadobee her flowers early on. The Flying Lugaw, a musical blog with a legendary name, will do that through song covers and singing her songs all night at Mow’s in “Stuck by the Glue: beabadobee Night.” This is the vibey, moody sing-off you need to welcome the Holy Week, where almost everything slows down to a crawl. And, for your sake, you should too.

4. ‘PAPANK UNPLUGGED’
Acoustic music all night is the promise of “PAPANK UNPLUGGED,” a Purple Cat Events presentation. Snakefight, End Street, Run Like Lions, Anthem for Maria, Ocean Summit, Avoir, Lockout Season, and Ilaya are all on the bill, offering guitar musicality that will keep the bad stuff in check and your vibe just right.

5. ‘Daydreaming Launch Party’
Cosmic energy goes earthly in Marga Jayy’s “Daydreaming,” her current single available on Spotify. But she will hold an official launch party, with Jack Paraiso and Komikskala providing support for the night.

6. ‘Fool Moon’
SYQL Productions understands that you need a break from the grind and monotony of daily life. With “Fool Moon,” they have the perfect occasion to create a space where creativity is kind. From tarot and renaissance aesthetics to music and art, your senses will be activated during the event.
Gig-goers can expect Blaster and the Celestial Klowns, ena mori, Cheats, One Click Straight, of Mercury, Flu, and hazylazy to provide the ear candies, while HARA, Gianne Encarnacion, Mako Micro-Press, Albert Raqueño, Patt, and Marian Hukom got you on the visuals that you can even take home.

7. ‘SLOW DOWN: A Manila Meltdown Anniversary Show’
Paper Satellites is celebrating the first birthday of “Manila Meltdown,” a Manila rock album if such a genre exists. TakeOver Lounge will play host for the “SLOW DOWN: A Manila Meltdown Anniversary Show.” Several other bands are signed up for the event: Pedicab, Identikit, MATOKI, Butterfly Den, and Galaxy Lodge. For those who miss the gig experience, there’s no better event to get your feet wet to the live music experience than this one.

8. ‘Awakening Hour’
Music collectives such as the Pasig Band Community must be lauded for doing the insanely hard work of keeping the local OPM scene alive and kicking. Their upcoming “Awakening Hour” event is a testament to their commitment to put talented bands on the map. It’s never a bad idea to expand your sonic circle, and among Radio Drive, Facundos, Rosier 22/7, The Fifth Sky, Turnilyo, Frnkstn, CIDH, and Red Orange could be the next band in your rotation.

9. GROOVE NIGHT Leg I: A benefit gig for YOUNG SMILES ORGANIZATION
“Groove Night” by Groove Productions goes beyond providing good OPM to the masses. The event doubles as a benefit gig for the Young Smiles Organization, a group that’s helping the Aeta children in a remote community in Porac, Pampanga. Part of the proceeds will be donated to them, which should help the families cover basic needs. What little you can give will mean a lot.

10. KRUMPWARS 4: MAIN EVENT
Krump is street art. Krumping is a culture. Krump is alive and global. VFAM, the local group dedicated to the krumping scene, will hold the “KRUMPWARS 4: MAIN EVENT,” the krump event of the year so far. The culture will be on full tilt for the two-day event. The first day will set the stage and the energy for the event, with workshops for newbies, pre-selections for the 1st and 2nd stages, and 3v3 battles. The second day will be a celebration of the “k-ulture,” and judges will crown the kings of krumping in the city.
