Sad news, K-Pop fans. The Super Stage by K-Pop in Manila, which was set to happen on Aug. 11 at SM Mall of Asia Arena, has been cancelled.
“Please be informed that #TheSuperStageByKpop Live in Manila scheduled this August 11th has been cancelled,” OctoArts Entertainment said in a Facebook post. No reason was disclosed for the cancellation.
The announcement came as the local organizer stopped promoting the event on July 21 after posting daily teasers on their socials.
OctoArts Entertainment assured that fans will receive a full refund (based on ticketing policy) through their point of sale.
For cash payment transactions in Metro Manila, ticket holders need to register at SM Tickets and choose the branch where they bought their tickets and when they would like to have their refund. The same process applies to tickets that were redeemed and bought over the counter using credit and debit cards. No refund schedule and actual/physical ticket on hand, no refund.
For cash payment transactions outside Metro Manila, ticket holders must e-mail [email protected] with the subject “Refund Request: The Super Stage by KPOP in Manila.” Those who bought tickets online, but weren’t able to redeem them yet, must also send an e-mail with the subject “Reversal Request: The Super Stage by KPOP in Manila.” Card reversals may take up to 60 days.
Announced earlier this May, The Super Stage by K-Pop in Manila was initially planned to welcome K-Pop girl group Kep1er on their first visit to the country and feature the return of Lapillus and MAMAMOO members Solar and Moonbyul (known together as MAMAMOO+). Former 2NE1 member Sandara Park was also added to the lineup on June 30.
