What was a ten-year wait became an unforgettable and cherished moment when actor and model Kim Bum held his “Between U and Me” Fan Meet in Manila at the New Frontier Theater on Sept. 22. It marked a long-awaited reunion with his fans after a decade.
During the event, the actor took his fans on a nostalgic journey down memory lane, celebrating ten years of missed moments and unveiling a new side of himself. He bravely ventured into uncharted territory, unveiling a facet of himself he had never even shared with his mother.
Kim Bum revealed that it took three months of meticulous preparation to organize the intimate fan meet. He was deeply involved in every aspect, from the preparations and rehearsals to even the smallest details, ensuring that it would be a personal and meaningful experience for everyone in attendance.
Fans couldn't help but admire his charm as he danced to the music during the game segment. The actor, however, modestly referred to himself as “cool” rather than “cute” as he grooved to songs like NewJeans' “ETA,” Jisoo's “Flower,” and LE SSERAFIM's “Eve, Psyche, & The Bluebeard's Wife.”
Despite his success in acting, particularly in his role as So Yi Jung in “Boys Over Flowers,” Kim Bum openly acknowledged that conveying the emotions of his characters remains a challenge. He highlighted his role as Lee Rang in “Tale of the Nine-Tailed" as one of the most unforgettable characters he has ever portrayed.
The evening continued to be fun filled as Kim Bum engaged in entertaining games with his fans. The event also featured a discussion on MBTI, where Filipino fans discovered an intriguing aspect of the heartthrob's personality—he identifies as an INTJ. This revelation shed light on his introverted tendencies, but he wholeheartedly engaged with his fans as a genuine display of gratitude for their unwavering support.
The event wouldn't have been complete without Kim Bum performing one of the classic OSTs from the hit series "Boys Over Flowers." The actor graced the stage with his rendition of "Because I'm Stupid."
The intimate fan meeting concluded successfully, leaving fans with smiles and perhaps a deeper admiration for Kim Bum.
Kim Bum's "Between U and Me" fan meeting is made possible by Viu Philippines, with UnionBank as the official sponsor and exclusive pre-sale partner.
