city’super Sake Fair Returns for the 24th Edition This March

city'super is back with its 24th Sake Fair, and this time, they are bringing a camping theme to the table. From Mar. 8 to 22 2023, city'super physical stores and their E-Shop will showcase more than 200 different Japanese sakes sourced directly from 20 Japanese sake breweries.

One of the product highlights of this year's fair is the new Dassai Future With Farmers (HK$1,550). This sake is made by Togai rice which was polished for 10 days for a polishing ratio of 8%, which results in a fruity and pure flavour with a smooth texture. Other notable premium sakes include Dewatsuru Ideha-No-Mezame Daiginjo (HK$1,380) and Tenju Hizo Daiginjo (HK$1,280), which has been aged at low temperatures for over 10 years, giving them a mellow aroma and a depth of flavour.

The fair also features the first dessert sake in 140 years by Tenzan Shuzo called Re:echo Calmer Dessert Sake. It has a low alcohol content and is sweet with medium acidity and a long, smooth finish. Moreover, the Born Dreams Come True Junmai Daiginjo (HK$1,380), which has been aged for five years at ice-cold temperatures, is served at Japanese royal events and has an elegant fragrance. The innovative Ichigocan Saitama Sake 24-Can Edition (HK$1,450) is also introduced to drinkers to enjoy a whole new Japanese craft sake experience anytime, anywhere.

This year, city'super has invited representatives from more than ten different Japanese breweries to share the stories behind the making of their sakes at the Times Square Atrium from Mar. 10 to 12. Sake lovers will have the opportunity to interact with them, learn about their passion and dedication, and gain a deeper appreciation for the art of sake making. Upon a designated spending amount, shoppers can receive complimentary special gifts too.
