If you’re one of the millions of users signed in on Threads, we have good news for you! Pretty soon, you’ll be able to access the social media platform on your desktops, as Meta announced the launch of its web version on Monday, Aug. 22.

The new version comes after the updates rolled out earlier this month, which included a mention button, an edit feature for automatically generated alt-text descriptions, and an option to share posts via Instagram DM.

According to Meta’s press release, the web experience will let users post a Thread, view their feed, and interact with other users on the site. No further details have been revealed yet, but the tech giant said that more functions for the web version will be unveiled soon.

Threads is Meta’s newest social media platform, made by its Instagram team, which was launched last month to rival microblogging app X, formerly known as Twitter.

Threads’ web version is not yet live as of this writing, but you can stay tuned for its launch by typing threads.net in your browsers.
