In their announcement posted last Apr. 8, 2025, organisers of the much-awaited Waterbomb Festival said that “water splashes and music will once again bring the heat back to Hong Kong!”

Waterbomb Music Festival: Music, Water, and A Whole Lot of Fun

First held in 2015 in Seoul South Korea, the Waterbomb Music Festival, or Waterbomb, is an annual summer music festival blending music, water, and epic water fights

Artist lineups to the summer event usually include some of the biggest names in the K-pop, K-Hip Hop, and K-R&B genres, such as Jay Park, Jessi, Hwasa, HyunA, and more. 

According to the organizers, “music, water, and passion” will once again come together to bring in new exhilarating moments for festival goers to enjoy.

Hong Kong was able to enjoy South Korea’s much-anticipated Waterbomb Festival for the first time last June 1 to 2, 2024, at the AXA x Wonderland in West Kowloon

South Korean Singer-Actress Hyeri To Visit Hong Kong and Macau this 2025

South Korean singer and actress Hyeri is set to embark on her 2025 fan meeting tour, “Welcome to HYERI’s STUDIO,” starting this June 2025!

The tour will be bringing Hyeri to several cities, beginning in Seoul, Osaka, Tokyo, Macau, Taipei, and Hong Kong from June to July 2025. More cities and dates will be announced in the future. 

Hyeri will be performing at the Broadway Macau – Broadway Theater in Macau on June 22, 2025, and at the Asiaworld Expo Runway 11 (Hall 11) in Hong Kong on July 19, 2025

Lee Hye-ri, more famously known as Hyeri, first debuted as the youngest member of the K-Pop girl group Girl’s Day in 2010. The girl group is known for their singles “Twinkle Twinkle” (2011), “Hug Me Once” (2011), “Something” (2014), and “Ring My Bell” (2015). 

Hyeri made her acting debut in 2014 in the SBS weekend drama “Tasty Life.” In the same year, she was cast in other dramas, “Schoolgirl Detectives” and “Hyde Jekyll, Me.”

In 2015, Hyeri was the lead female protagonist of the tvN dramaReply 1988,” which became one of the highest-rated dramas in Korean cable television history and a cultural phenomenon. Hyeri portrayed Sung Deok-sun, the only girl in the group of five neighborhood friends who moves along the stages of youth with her friends. 

For this drama, Hyeri won the Best New Actress Award at the 2016 APAN Star Awards and 2016 Korean Drama Awards, and the Best New Actress – Television Award at the 2016 Baeksang Arts Awards. 

In 2021, she starred in the tvN fantasy romance drama “My Roommate Is A Gumiho” alongside Jang Ki-yong and was a commercial success. In 2022, she starred in the drama “May I Help You?” and later received the Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards.

In 2023, Hyeri was cast in the cheerleading movie “Victory.” The film premiered at the 23rd New York Asian Film Festival and was awarded the Screen International Rising Star Asia Award

Hyeri is currently starring in the South Korean teen mystery thriller television series “Friendly Rivalry”. She is also a prominent YouTuber, handling the channel and talk show, “Hyell’s Club.”

Who is CHIIKAWA?

Chiikawa is short for "Something Small and Cute" in Japanese

Chiikawa is the main protagonist of the Japanese manga and anime series “Chiikawa” or “Nanka Chiisakute Kawaii Yatsu”. Their name is derived from the Japanese title meaning “Something Small and Cute.”

They are creatures of unspecified species or gender that’s small, cute, and easily moved to tears. They also express themselves through sounds, and they often say “Yada” or “Iyada,” a childish way of saying “no” in Japanese. Their best friends are Hachiware, a bicolor cat, and Usagi, a rabbit.
