AKB48's Sister Group KLP48 Unveils Its First-Generation Members

A few months after its launch and call for applications, Malaysia’s newest girl group, KLP48, has finally announced its first-generation members.
The AKB48 sister group’s first-generation lineup is composed of 13 members, including four from Japan and two additional members from Indonesia and Hong Kong. Hailing from Japan are Yurina, Haruka, Suzuha, and Cocoa, while members Devi and Hillary are from Indonesia and Hong Kong, respectively.
Meanwhile, members coming from Malaysia are Salwa, Yi Shyan, Lucine, Khalies, Tiffany, Amanda, and Ann Drea.
The group will promote with the slogan “I shine from the heart of Asia,” and is set to make their debut live performance at AKB48’s “First Cry” group concert on Aug. 18 at the Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
Aside from their performance, fans can also look forward to a meet and greet and an after-talk session from KLP48 during the concert, where they will be talking about their origin, behind-the-scenes stories, and more. They will be joined by other AKB48 sister groups, including Jakarta’s JKT48, Setouchi’s STU48, and global unit Quadlips.
Tickets to the concert are available via Bookmyshow, with prices starting from RM270.
