PAL Announces Nonstop Manila-Seattle Flights with Introductory Sale

No more hassle flying to Seattle, Washington! The Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to launch nonstop flights between Manila and Seattle starting Oct. 2 this year — the first carrier to connect the Philippines and the US Pacific Northwest.

The new flight aims to stimulate business and leisure travel between the two cities, noting that over 900,000 American tourists visited the Philippines last year – making the US the country’s second-largest source of tourists. The flights also intend to cater to the Filipinos visiting family and friends in Washington and Oregon, home to over 240,000 Filipino Americans.

“Nonstop service to Manila has long been one of our most frequently requested routes, and we’re thrilled that this new flight will not only serve Puget Sound’s Filipino community but anyone who is interested in exploring the rich history, beauty, and hospitality of the Philippines,” says Port of Seattle Commissioner Toshiko Hasegawa.

The new route will initially operate every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday through the Boeing 777 aircraft, where passengers can travel comfortably with the plane’s full-flat seats in Business Class and enjoy inflight service featuring Filipino and Western meal options. Departing flights from Manila will leave every 10:40 PM and land in Seattle by 7:15 PM. Meanwhile, flights going to Manila will depart every 11:40 PM and arrive at 4:45 AM (+2).

Those traveling between Oct. 2 and Nov. 30 and Feb. 1 and March 25 can take advantage of the special introductory all-in roundtrip fare when you book from now until April 30 through the website or mobile app. Economy class is priced at US$771, while Business Class costs US$3,071.
