CCP to Screen 'Hamlet,' 'Life of Pi,' & More World-Class British Plays Soon
Heads up, theater junkies! Prepare to witness the best of British theater as The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP)-Film, Broadcast, and New Media Division will be screening world-class plays for its first edition of CCP National Theatre Live.
The screenings will be held from Sept. 26, 2023–May 28, 2024, at the Ayala Malls Greenbelt Cinemas in Makati City and will feature shows such as “The Crucible,” “Hamlet,” “Fleabag,” “Life of Pi,” and “Frankenstein,” among others.
These shows also star some of the renowned theater and film actors from London, including Benedict Cumberbatch, Emilia Clarke, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Here is the full schedule for CCP National Theatre Live Season One:

- “The Seagull” - Nov. 28, 2023, 5:30 PM
- “Frankenstein” - Oct. 31, 2023, 5:30 PM
- “Much Ado About Nothing” - Dec. 19, 2023, 5:30 PM
- “The Crucible” - Jan. 30, 2024, 5:30 PM
- “Fleabag” - Feb. 27, 2024, 5:30 PM
- “Othello” - Mar. 26, 2024, 5:30 PM
- “King Lear” - Apr. 30, 2024, 5:30 PM
- “Hamlet” - May 28, 2024, 5:30 PM
Tickets are priced at P250 for regular admission and P150 for students. There are no details yet on how to score tickets, but you can follow CCP Film, Broadcast, and New Media’s Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) pages for updates.
