1. Reb Belleza's 'It's All Connected' Exhibit
Catch the last few days of Reb Belleza's "It's All Connected" art exhibit at Bahay ng Alumni at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, this weekend. It was Belleza's early start in cinema that led to his appreciation for the visual arts, especially after legendary actress Susan Roces gave him some crayons and coloring books as a child. His playful and vibrant paintings allow the viewer space for understanding, feeling, and recollection. Ultimately, the exhibit is all about making connections, forging ties, and being whole.

2. Heroes Unleashed: Asian Fest 2023
Anime fans, don't miss Heroes Unleashed (formerly Retropalooza) by the Heroes Convention, which kicked off yesterday and will run until the weekend. Learn about Asian retro pop culture and Japanese gaming through various zones of the event like the Anime Verse and Asian Games. You can also jam to your favorite iconic songs at Anime Rhythm or dress up in your favorite characters for the Heroes Retrospective Contest and Parade. Lastly, sample the noms at the event, which will include Asian delicacies and other treats.

3. 'Ransomed' Screening

This one's for the movie buffs! If Korean films are your thing, you might want to check out the screening of "Ransomed" this week. Directed by Kim Sung-Hoon, the flick follows the story of a South Korean diplomat named Min-Joon (Ha Jung-Woo), who goes on an unofficial operation to rescue a missing fellow diplomat in Lebanon on the condition that he gets assigned to the United States after. The movie has just been released this month and is a heart-stopping drama thriller for all.

4. Visual Storytelling Through Photography Seminar

Ever wondered how certain pictures can move you and others don't? Visual storytelling is an art and Asia Pacific Media Philippines will teach you exactly how it's done in this seminar this coming Saturday. With documentary, photography, and media trainer Joshua Chew as speaker, the seminar will teach participants how to capture crucial moments, document history, and tell a moving story through visual elements. 6. Asian Food Festival at Robinsons Manila
Foodies, rejoice! The Asian Food Festival is here.
