Pope Francis Confirms Visit to Singapore This Year on Sept. 11-13
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore has confirmed that Pope Francis is paying Singapore a visit on Sept. 11-13 to hold state engagements, including holding a Papal mass, to grace the Catholics in the city-state.
In a press release, His Eminence Cardinal William Goh said that it has been 38 years since Singapore had a Vicar visit, with Pope St. John Paul II being the last in November 1986.
Although further details for Pope Francis’ visitation are still under discussion, the Archdiocese has already started preparations for the visitation of the Head of the Catholic Church, as announced on its official website.
Tickets for the Papal mass are free of charge, but are subject to availability due to venue restrictions.
