2. Mastering Thai Curries Cooking Class

3. Women's Only Wine Tasting

4. 'Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade: Art Across the Pacific' Lecture
This Friday, learn about the Manila-Acapulco Galleon Trade in a lecture by Clement Onn. Onn is the deputy director of curatorial and research, as well as the principal curator of Asian export art and Peranakan at the Asian Civilisations Museum. The lecture will discuss the luxury goods that were transported from Asia in 1565 to 1815, beginning in Manila across the Pacific to Mexico, the Americas, and Spain. Aside from the lecture, do visit the ACM's current special exhibit, "Manila Galleon: From Asia to the Americas."

5. 'Give Me The Mountain' Show
Start the year with a physical theatre show by Grain Performance & Research Lab, "Give Me the Mountain." To be shown over two days, "Give Me the Mountain" is for any viewer who has a "mountain" in their life to overcome. About 85% of the script came from the notes of Beverly Yuen, the group's artistic director, while she recovered from a knee injury, which compelled her to think of physical theatre's capacity to be more inclusive. 6. Comma 2024, A Creative Arts Festival
*SCAPE's creative arts festival, Comma, is finally here! Gear up for a 17-day event celebrating Singapore's up-and-coming artists and creative scene. Some of the events you can participate in include MOVE:MENT, K-pop Random Play Dance, Music Day Out 2024, Vann Law's Zines of Song and Dance, and so much more.

7. Retrospective: Wang Sha & Ye Feng
As a tribute to the vibrant careers of Singaporean comedians Wang Sha and Ye Feng, the Asian Film Archive will be holding screenings of the duo's films this month until April. This is the first time in the city-state that a retrospective will be held honouring the two comedic legends. The programme will screen 26 films featuring the duo to showcase their unforgettable roles and talents to the viewing public.
There will also be an exhibit, "Comic Relief," to showcase film memorabilia, posters, and props from Wang Sha and Ye Feng's film careers. For the screening schedule and ticketing information, go here.

8. Miya Ando's 'Vespertine Clouds' (Yūgumo) Exhibit
New York-based artist Miya Ando will be opening her new exhibit, "Vespertine Clouds" at the Sundaram Tagore Gallery this Saturday, marking her first solo exhibit in the city-state since pre-pandemic 2019. Her exhibit is based on "mono no aware," a Japanese concept that roughly translates to "an acute awareness of the transience of things." Having been raised in a Buddhist temple in Japan and the redwood forest of California, Ando makes use of clouds as a "metaphor for impermanence and interdependence." For more exhibit info, go here.

9. Humanism Advanced Workshop 2024
Join three humanists in this Humanism Advanced Workshop as supported by the Humanist Society Singapore. It will be conducted by Kit, a lawyer specialising in intellectual property law; Desmond, a personal development coach and creative designer; and Melvin, a software developer and creative designer. The workshop is suitable for humanists, atheists, and agnostics, regardless of their background, who wish to have a platform to express themselves, engage with the community, and foster collective improvement.
