1. Yummy Food Expo 2023

Foodies, rejoice! You can sample the tastiest food and drinks in Singapore at the Yummy Food Expo this weekend. Organised by Singapore Food Shows, the four-day event will feature more than 100 exhibitors and a thousand local and international food and beverage products, along with a ton of exclusive discounts and deals to get your money's worth, as well as free gifts for early visitors. 2. Unwind @ Raffles

This event is the perfect way to cap off the work week! Unwind at Raffles Place Park promises a ton of fun with lawn games, music that'll get you dancing, and a movie screening later in the night. Sports lovers will enjoy the badminton, spike ball, petanque, and croquet matches at the event, while those who love music can groove to sets by DJ El Professionel and The Weatherman. 3. Cheese & Wine Night

Cheese and wine? Yes, please. This event by The Cheese Shop brings your cheesiest dreams into reality. If you've ever fantasised about eating cheese and sipping wine to your heart's content, then this dinner is for you. Indulge in free-flowing cheese and wine for one night, accompanied by charcuterie, crackers, and other accoutrements. The Cheese & Wine Night will feature six types of wine and six types of cheese across Europe. You can get tickets via Eventbrite!

4. Play Play Fair 2023

Obsessed with board games? You're in for a treat! Singapore's first-ever board game fair, the Play Play Fair, is happening this weekend. Organised by Origame, a Singaporean company that designs and publishes modern Asian board games, the event allows attendees to experience two days of open gaming with a slew of board games. It also allows gamers to buy or sell their preloved board games at the bazaar, and learn about the latest games from designers and publishers in the city-state. The fair is suitable for children and adults alike and makes for the perfect event this last school holiday weekend. You can register here for an individual or family pass to get a free ticket.

5. Let's Walk, Singapore

Whether you need to get those 10,000 steps in or are just fond of walking, this walkathon is not to be missed. Organised by Sunnystep, this monthly walkathon will get you up and moving as you traverse Marina Barrage with friendly Sunnystep staff for a 5.7-kilometre jaunt. The session will begin with an introduction and distribution of vouchers, followed by a warm-up exercise before the actual walk. There will be breaks in between, capping off with a cool down stretch. All attendees will get a free Sunnystep voucher. You can sign up here!

6. Ice Cream Making Class

If you're interested in making ice cream aside from just eating it, this class by Tom's Palette is highly recommended. The ice cream shop has been making its own ice cream in-house since 2005, so where's a better place to learn how to make this treat than here? Its next Ice Cream Making Class is this Saturday, which is suitable for home chefs and hobbyists. The class will include an introduction, demonstration, hands-on session, as well as an ice cream buffet throughout! Students will also get a welcome drink and a 10% discount off Tom Palette's waffles and takeaway tubs. You can register for the class here!

7. Ratha Yatra 2023

One of the biggest events happening this week is the Ratha Yatra - Festival of Chariots, a festival that began in the city of Puri of Odisha that celebrates the journey of Lord Jagannath to the Gundicha Temple. Today, Ratha Yatra is marked the world over as a celebration of India's cultural heritage. The fest will feature a ton of attractions and activities, from the Divine Chariot Procession and cultural dances to a free five-course prasdam and 20-foot balloons, among others. 8. Burnt Ends Cellars Brunch

Are you the brunch or breakfast type? If you fall under the former, this Burnt Ends Cellars Brunch is just for you. This Sunday, Meatsmith is hosting a scrumptious brunch headed by chef Dean to present a specially curated set menu that includes, among others, Wagyu Kofta, Smoked Chicken Wing, Kashmiri Lamb Shank Rogan Josh, and Hanger Steak. 9. Minimalist Textured Art Workshop

This workshop will appeal to lovers of minimalist art, as it will teach you the basics of creating your own minimalist masterpiece with a focus on texture. Organised by the arts and crafts store Room To Imagine, the workshop aims to encourage participants to "embrace simplicity and restraint... while exploring the rich possibilities of texture and surface treatment." The session will run for two to two-and-a-half hours, with materials like palette knives, canvas, and more to be provided by Room To Imagine. 10. S$1 Japanese Oysters Promo

Here's another event for foodies! Italian restaurant Buca Buca is holding a promo to all diners who purchase a bottle of wine during their stay.
