Devialet's In-Ear Encore: The Gemini II Takes Centre Stage
Today, Sept. 13, Devialet announced the release of its much-anticipated Gemini II true wireless earbuds. According to the company, these earbuds encapsulate 15 years of audio research and boast high-end features like Adaptive Noise Cancellation™, Active Wind Reduction, and Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint support.
Devialet is not holding back on claims about the Gemini II's noise-cancelling capabilities. Propelled by technologies such as the aforementioned Adaptive Noise Cancellation™ and IDC®, they promise an artefact-free and white noise-free listening experience that adapts to various environments.
We were on the ground at the official product launch and had a chance to briefly test out the earbuds. From what we heard, the Gemini II offers a flatter sound profile than its predecessor, but retains the low-end energy Devialet is known for. However, these are preliminary findings; we'll reserve our final judgement until our comprehensive review, which is in the pipeline.
On the market front, the Gemini II earbuds are already available for purchase. They come in two standard colours—Matte Black and Iconic White—with a price tag of US$449 / HK$3,590. For those interested in a more exclusive version, the Opéra de Paris edition will set you back US$649 / HK$5,290. Battery life is expected to be around five hours on a single charge and 22 hours when coupled with the charging case.
The Devialet Gemini II wireless earbuds are now available for purchase online, and from Devialet Experience stores internationally.
