Google's Pixel 8 Smartphone to be Unveiled in October Event

As Google said, “The w8 is over,” folks! The tech giant teased its launch event on Oct. 4 for the new Pixel smartphone line via social media posts, exciting techies and Pixel fans with upgrades that will be announced.

The post came only a day after Apple announced its “Wonderlust” event, which will be held on Sept. 12 and is slated to reveal its new lineup of gadgets, including the much-awaited iPhone 15.

The event is expected to confirm speculations about the new design for the Pixel 8 after its image was leaked to Google’s online store last month. The image had a glass covering on its rear cameras and a new porcelain colour, as well as an alt-text caption, stating, “A person takes a call on a Pixel 8 Pro phone in porcelain."

There is no news yet on whether Google will also reveal upgrades for its other related gadgets, such as the Pixel Fold, Buds, Tablet, and Watch. There is also no confirmation about what the Pixel 8’s specs, hardware, and software features will be.
