Mondrian's New Bar, Avoca: Celebrates Local Flavours with Chic Cocktails
Avoca, the latest flagship bar of Mondrian Hong Kong, opens today on the 38th floor of the hotel.
Spearheading the launch is Bar Director Joe Villanueva, a celebrated figure in the city’s mixology scene. His expertise is not just in curating a cocktail menu inspired by local flavours but also in personally crafting these exquisite creations, all set to the rhythm of top DJs and an engaging bar program.
The cocktail menu at Avoca is a blend of creativity and local essence, playing around with savoury flavours and Hong Kong-sourced ingredients.
Signature drinks like the LGM Mary showcases an explosion of flavours. It’s a creative concoction of tequila blanco infused with black bean chilli oil from the ever-iconic Lao Gan Ma sauce and a clear Bloody Mary mix.
Meanwhile the Sesame and Peanut Butter Sour is a playful nod to a favourite dessert, while the Clay Pot Negroni is an adventurous mix, drawing inspiration from the aromas of Hong Kong’s classic eponymous dish.
To match, AVOCA promises an equally tantalizing food menu, offering dishes with an Asian twist ranging from the Lobster & Crab Roll prepared in Cantonese Typhoon Shelter-style to the Crispy Chicken Waffle, inspired by Three Cup Chicken.
