Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter Faouzia Ouihya, or more simply known as Faouzia, is coming to Kuala Lumpur to stage her first concert in the country. Fans who love her inspiring songs about female empowerment and overcoming darkness can finally catch her live.

Presented by Live Nation Malaysia, the concert is set to take place on July 13 at KL Convention Centre’s Plenary Hall.

Tickets are available in three tiers — CAT 1 (RM398), CAT 2 (RM 358), and CAT 3 (RM298) — and are currently on sale via the GoLive Asia and GoLive Ticketing apps.

Born in Morocco and raised in Canada, Faouzia started crafting her own songs at the young age of six. She rose to fame after releasing her single “Minefields” alongside American singer-songwriter John Legend in November 2020.

Her second EP “Citizens,” which was released in May 2022, includes hit tracks such as “RIP, Love” and “Anybody Else” that have racked up millions of streams globally.

“My favorite thing is hearing that one of my songs helped someone feel motivated or empowered, or even helped them to have a good cry—which sometimes is all you need,” the 23-year-old multi-instrumentalist was quoted as saying.

“I really believe that immersing yourself in music can help you through the tough times in life, and I always hope that my songs can do that for everyone.”
