Happening at the Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, on Dec. 31, the Kota Kinabalu Countdown 2025 will bring a night filled with music and spectacle to welcome the new year. Here’s our quick guide to everything you need to know about the exciting event.
Artist Lineup: Main Stage
KKCD’s main stage will be graced by talented musicians and artists from different parts of Asia!
The lineup will be headlined by K-Pop sensation and EXO leader Suho, who is set to take the spectators into a frenzy with his soulful vocals. He will be joined by Malaysia’s very own artists: Firdhaus, Priscilla Abby, Velvet Aduk, Marsha Milan, Dabra Sia, Wesley Liew, Stacy Anam, Eylia Guntabid, Michiyo Ho, Datuk Francis Landong, ISOHBAHTOS, Soya, and Bella Astillah.
Other international artists joining the lineup are China’s Ryan.B, Hong Kong’s Hubert Wu, and Indonesia’s Dadali.
Flamewave Music Festival
The rave doesn’t stop at KKCD’s main stage, because the event is also complemented by the Flamewave Music Festival, featuring top DJs from South Korea, Taipei, and Malaysia.
Leading the pack is K-Pop soloist and Girls’ Generation member DJ Hyo, who will be headlining the festival at the KKCD Fire Zone at Oceanus Broadway. She will be joined by Taipei’s DJ Hime and Amy Hao, and Malaysia's The Paytons, Jordan Queka, and DJ Mushroom.
Fireworks and Drone Show
A New Year’s countdown is not complete without a visual spectacle, so KKCD 2025 is also holding a breathtaking 12-minute fireworks display, as well as a drone performance with 1,000 dazzling drones — lighting up the skies of Kota Kinabalu at midnight!
