Low-Cost DIY Christmas Gifts Cause It's the Thought That Counts

Low Cost Holiday Gift Guide

While the holiday season is often synonymous with all things grand, your gift doesn’t have to be expensive to be meaningful. In fact, some of the most memorable Christmas presents are the ones that cost little to nothing, because they’re made with time, care, and genuine heart.

If you’d rather pour your creativity into making something special than rush through crowded stores, or if you simply want to give a gift that feels truly personal, thoughtful, and one-of-a-kind, you still can… even if Christmas is only a few days away.

Here are some no-cost or low-cost gift ideas that prove it really is the thought that counts.

Christmas Cards

Christmas Cards
Photo from Website/Papemelroti

There’s something undeniably special about receiving a handwritten card during the holidays. In a world where messages are usually typed and sent in seconds, a letter crafted by hand feels deeply personal and intimate. It’s a tangible piece of someone’s heart — something you can hold, reread, and keep for years. A simple, low-cost gift that carries the kind of sincerity and warmth no store-bought item can replace.

To get started on your Christmas cards, you’ll only need paper and a pen. If you want to elevate it, use decorative sheets, such as scented paper, colored stationery, or metallic pens, to add flair. You can also pick up inexpensive store-bought cards like pop-ups or illustrated Christmas cards and personalize them with your own handwritten message inside. A few thoughtful sentences can turn even the simplest card into a keepsake.

You can find beautifully designed Christmas cards and stationery in local bookshops or in specialty stores like Papemelroti and Typo.

Memory Scrapbook

Scrapbooks
Photo from Website/Papemelroti

Scrapbooks are like handwritten letters, but on steroids. A Memory Scrapbook is one of the most meaningful gifts you can present to a loved one — a collection of shared moments, whether that’s photos, notes, or tiny mementos that tell the story of your bond.

With everyone on social media, photo albums are often just uploaded and posted, and often never seen again — buried deep in your timelines that refresh every few seconds. Scrapbooks make these captured memories feel more personal and intimate. It’s something someone can flip through slowly, reliving laughter, milestones, and small everyday moments that matter.

You don’t need anything fancy to get started. A simple notebook or leftover blank journal works perfectly. The fun part is gathering photos, printed screenshots, old receipts, ticket stubs, and even handwritten quotes and inside jokes.

In decorating your scrapbook, you can make use of any art supplies that you have on hand, like colored pens, markers, washi tapes, and even scraps of paper, which makes it an eco-friendly gift idea.

If you want to elevate it, choose a nicer scrapbook from your local bookstore or craft shop, and personalize each page with small captions or doodles. Even if you're short on time, a few thoughtful pages can make anyone’s day this season.

Jar of Good Wishes

Jars

We all remember Elle Woods’ “Snap Cup,” where participants write and share positive affirmations. Think of the Jar of Good Wishes as its Christmas version, where you can put in tiny notes scribbled with encouragements, affirmations, memories, or simply reasons why you appreciate someone.

More than the season of giving, Christmas is also about remembering what you’re most grateful for, and this little gift packs a huge emotional impact, something the receiver can pull out whenever they need a little warmth.

A Jar of Good Wishes is inexpensive and easy to make. All you need is a clear jar or container — a perfect way to recycle those empty jam and cookie jars — and some scrap paper. Make your notes short and sweet. They can be good wishes for the coming year, reminders of their strengths and what makes them awesome, short anecdotes of your favorite shared memories, or simple “I love you because…” moments. After writing them, fold them neatly and drop them into the jar until they’re filled.

We recommend using varying colored papers to make it more decorative. You can also tie the jar with a festive ribbon, slap on some stickers, or create a handwritten label.

Sentimental Ornaments

Christmas Ornament

Another heartfelt gift idea is Sentimental Ornaments, which give home décor a whole new meaning. These ornaments are little reminders of a memory, a milestone, or a shared moment. They can represent a hobby, a trip, a first Christmas together, or an inside joke. They’re especially meaningful because they aren’t just placed on the tree; they’re tied with stories, emotion, and connections that grow with time.

There are many ways in which you can create your own Sentimental Ornaments. You can use simple materials like spare ribbons, buttons, old keychains, or small trinkets. Glue or tie them onto a piece of sturdy string, twine, or a metal hook. If you want to make a photo frame ornament, simply paste your photo on the back of cardboard, decorate it with some ribbons, glitter, and stickers, then place a small hole at the top for the string and hook.

An elevated idea would be to buy clear ornament bubbles, which you can fill with handwritten notes, dried flowers, or tiny keepsakes. You can also personalize store-bought ornaments like Christmas balls and holiday snowflakes by adding the recipient’s name, an important date, adorable drawings, or a short message. Even the simplest ornament can become special when it carries a story.

Homemade Wax Melts

Wax Melts
Photo from Website/Wholesale Supplies Plus

If you want to give something that feels luxurious without being expensive, Homemade Wax Melts is the way to go. These fill the room with warmth and comfort, turning any space into a cozy retreat. As you will be choosing the scent and even the mold to shape it, it feels more thoughtful and personal compared to store-bought candles. It’s a gift that says: “This scent reminds me of you” or “I wanted to make your home smell like something you’d love.”

For this gift, you only need leftover candle wax, old, scented candles, or affordable wax flakes or pellets. These are readily available in home department stores or specialty décor shops like Raw Essentials PH, which sells wax flakes and pellets, as well as other materials for this DIY project, like candle jars and liquid dyes.

Melt the wax in a heat-safe container using a double-boiler setup — meaning heating the bowl over a pot of hot water. Add a few drops of your preferred essential oils or dried herbs for fragrance. If you’re looking to give it for Christmas, we recommend holiday scents like peppermint or cinnamon.

Next is to pour the melted wax into molds to set. There are plenty of fun and playful silicone molds you can find in craft and baking stores. If you want to keep it simple, you can even use regular ice trays. To add flair, mix in dried flowers, ground cinnamon, or sprinkle a little colored wax and glitter for decoration. Once they’re solid, pop them out and wrap them in small paper bags or repurposed jars.

Iron-On Patches

Iron-on patches
Photo from Website/The Common Room PH

If you’re not big on arts and crafts, there are other inexpensive but personalized gifts that you can give. One of them is iron-on patches, a fun and creative way to give old clothes or accessories new life. Have an old jacket lying around? A plain tote bag that can still be used for your shopping escapades? A simple patch can instantly transform these items into something unique and personal. Whether it’s a design that represents a memory, a hobby, a favorite symbol, or even the recipient’s initials, patches turn everyday items into wearable memory.

Iron-on patches are available in craft stores, thrift shops, and online stores like Common Room PH. No sewing is needed as you will literally iron them on directly onto the clothes or accessory. Simply place the patch where you want it, cover it with a thin cloth, and press with the iron for a few seconds until it sticks.

It’s a great way to make use of pre-loved items like old denim jackets, tote bags, caps, or pouches — giving them a fresh and customized look that feels brand new.

Self-Care Kit

Self-Care Bundle
Self-Care Bundle | Photo from Website/Eco Warrior PH

This holiday season, show your loved ones you care by giving them a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, and take care of themselves. A self-care kit is something everyone needs, especially during the busy holiday season. It’s thoughtful, personal, and shows that you’ve taken time to consider what might bring them comfort. Whether it’s a friend who’s been stressed or a partner who deserves pampering, this gift idea sends the message: “You matter, please take a moment for you.”

Self-care packages don’t have to be luxurious to be useful and meaningful. Start with a small box, pouch, or basket that you already have. Fill it with items that you know they’ll appreciate: tea bags or drip coffee pouches, a handwritten affirmation, a Spotify playlist QR code, a face mask, a small candle, or bath salts. You can also include their favorite snacks, their favorite quote printed on paper, a good book, or a warm pair of fuzzy socks.

You can elevate this gift by adding a personalized note or card explaining each item, or decorating the box with ribbons and stickers.

Xmas CandlesPhoto by Simoy ng Haraya/Website

The key to kicking off the Christmas season is setting the vibe, and that goes beyond decking the halls with twinkling lights and festive décor. Your home shouldn’t just look ready for the holidays… it should smell like it, too.

After all, scents have a powerful way of evoking memories: the warmth of fresh-baked cookies, the coziness of pine, or the sparkle of citrus and spice. If you’re ready to wrap your space in that unmistakable holiday atmosphere, here are some candles and Christmas scents you can buy locally to make your home feel (and smell!) like the holidays have truly begun.

Christmas in the Philippines is deeply rooted in faith, celebrated through the beloved “Simbang Gabi” — a nine-day series of dawn and evening Masses observed by Filipino Catholics and Aglipayans in anticipation of Christmas.

This unique all-natural soy and beeswax blend by Bumi and Ashe is inspired by everything we love about Paskong Pinoy — the smell of coffee, hot chocolate, puto bumbong, bibingka, that festive hint of burnt banana leaves, and the cool amihan breeze. Basically, Christmas in a bottle!

The candle opens with cozy notes of earthy coffee, cocoa, brown sugar, nutty vetiver, and burning banana leaves, all housed in the brand’s signature quirky “bibingka” vessel made from premium Japanese white stoneware. It doesn’t just smell amazing, but it also doubles as the cutest little décor piece for your table.

Available at P2,650 (8.4oz). Buy here.

DIY Christmas Scent Ideas

Christmas scents

Candles are a great start for adding holiday cheer to any space, but they’re definitely not the only way to make your home smell like Christmas. If you want your space to feel even cozier and more festive, there are plenty of simple, creative ways to infuse those nostalgic holiday fragrances into the air.

Even your Christmas tree can help set the mood — try tying on fragrant ornaments like cinnamon sticks, star anise, or dried citrus slices. These natural decorations don’t just look charming, they also release warm, spicy, and zesty notes that instantly make a room smell like the holidays.

Another easy idea: make your own Christmas potpourri. Potpourri is a mix of dried petals and spices that naturally perfumes a room, and a holiday twist is easy to whip up with a few ingredients you can grab from the grocery store. For classic Christmas scents, try cranberries, citrus slices, pine, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Add everything into a pot, let it simmer gently, and voilà — your kitchen, and honestly, your whole house, will smell heavenly in minutes!

You can also try drying orange slices for a rustic, aromatic decoration. Just slice an orange, pat the slices dry, lay them on a baking sheet, and bake for about three hours, checking every 30 minutes. Once they’re fully dried, hang them on your tree, string them like garlands, or display them in a pretty bowl to add both scent and style to your space.

If you want something sweet, baking vanilla extract is a foolproof way to make your home smell like freshly baked cookies — without the actual baking! Just pour a couple of tablespoons of vanilla extract into a baking dish and pop it in the oven for about an hour. You can even experiment by adding spices or fruits to create your own custom Christmas blend. No complicated recipes or fancy materials needed. Just simple ingredients, warm aromas, and instant holiday magic!

Moda Interni & Pedini Launch Philippines’ Most Curved Kitchen

Moda InterniPhoto by Moda Interni

Say hello to a new wave in kitchen design: the most dramatically curved kitchen the Philippine market has ever seen, set to revolutionize the interior design of local homes.

Italian luxury kitchen brand Pedini, known for creating innovative modular designs since 1957, is collaborating with Moda Interni and bringing its signature curved kitchen concept to local shores.

Their latest creation challenges the conventions of flat, linear spaces and invites homeowners into a more fluid experience, with an Italian touch.

This sculptural space gently wraps around its users, offering ergonomics, ease, and elegance in every detail. Central to the design is a breathtaking C-shaped island framed by lacquered, slatted cabinetry and organic wood accents.

“With Pedini’s curved kitchens, we’re not just offering a luxury product. We’re introducing a new standard for how the modern Filipino kitchen can feel and function,” Goldwin Sison shared.

The layout remains gracefully curved, while elements like cooktops, sinks, and shelving can be customized to match your rhythm and style.

The kitchen made its much-anticipated debut at Moda Interni’s Quezon City showroom. The event was led by Moda Interni CEO Goldwin Sison and Pedini Brand Export Manager Francesco Giuffrida, who introduced guests to the future of culinary interiors.

Catriona Gray’s New Furniture Collection Showcases Local Artistry

Catriona 1Photo by Genteelhome

While best known as a former Miss Universe, Catriona Gray is, in fact, also a designer at heart. In fact, the model and personality designed her own jewellery for the Miss Universe competition in 2017. This included the now iconic ear cuff she wore that featured sun rays and three stars, which was executed by jewellery brand Tessera. Today, she challenges her design skills to a whole new level, collaborating with local furniture brand Genteelhome to create a caspule collection inspired by local culture.

Called the Payak Collection, Catriona Gray and Genteelhome Founder Katrina Blanca de Leon unveils a versatile line of furniture pieces that can be used both inside and outside the house. Handmade by Kapampangan artisans, with hand-woven accent pieces made by local weavers, each piece was meticulously designed and curated by none other than Catriona herself. Boasting of tables, accent chairs, and even a bookshelf, the Payak Collection embodies Catriona’s love for local and a minimalist lifestyle that is functional and beautiful.

Catriona, what is your design philosophy and how can it be seen in the Payak Collection?

Catriona Gray:  I live in a condominium, so the pieces I own can’t just be beautiful; they also have to be very functional. And you see that intention carried out in the pieces [like the Balik Tanaw side table, which is both a side table and a picture frame].

Everything in the collection is also highly customizable, and you can see my love of tradition and culture being funnelled down in an artistic and design aspect [through the materials used]. Of course, you can also see my personality in it, like how there are pops of color in the Kapit Bisig shelf. For me, that pop of color is personality because interjecting those little unexpected details in your space can help reflect who that person is.

Lastly, one of my biggest advocacies is to empower women, and you can see that in the collection through the way we’ve incorporated weaves into the design. Traditionally, it is the women who pass down these cultures and art styles, and that in itself is a nod towards such incredible women.

Katrina, what was it like bringing Catriona’s vision to life for Payak?

Katrina Blanca de Leon: It felt like sharing a piece of [Catriona’s] heart and translating that unto pieces of art or furniture. She made sure to incorporate a lot of her memories into each design, and sketching her was so fun because we felt like we were in that moment or memory alongside her.

Our conversation flowed easily because Catriona is very immersed in all the colors and elements. She’d explain why she wanted a certain color, and we got to understand and visualize how each piece would come together. For Payak, it wasn’t just about having a beautiful piece in your home, but also having something that has meaning.

What makes a Filipino product or furniture different?

Pinay accent chair

Katrina: It’s really the way our craftsmen create. Not everything is machine crafted [we also rely on the artistry of our people]. And we believe that when you pour your heart into something, it is seen in the details; and when you mix handcrafted furniture with modern, machine-made pieces, you see a space truly come to life.

How do you incorporate mindfulness and authenticity in the spaces you create?

Catriona: I think it's really in my love for supporting local, and I think that's also why this partnership with Genteelhome took on the life that it did, because we both share the same passion for elevating Filipino craftsmanship.

I even had the opportunity to visit one of the warehouses and see the pieces being made. It was wonderful to see the people being impacted by the livelihood that these pieces allow them to have. It gives you a sense of pride [to see how it’s locally made]. Other countries are known for creating such gorgeous furniture, but we also have a distinct flair that I think can be appreciated no matter who is looking at it from wherever in the world they may come from.

I also incorporate mindfulness into my space because I'm very practical because with my space. As I mentioned, I live in a condo so I have to maximize what I have. The pieces that I have are all comfortable, practical, and beautiful at the same time.

What is your most used piece from the Payak collection?

Catriona: Maybe it’s the accent chairs because I like to read a lot. But even when I review contracts or decompress at the end of the day or make quiet time for myself in the morning, I’ll be sitting on my accent chair.  I also have a lot of bookshelves at home, so the Kapit Bisig bookshelf is special to me. Whenever I travel, I love to collect anik-anik (trinkets), and I have them all on display.

What emotions or experiences do you hope people to take away from the Payak collection?

Catriona: I want people to feel proud that they have a piece like this in their home, because it's not just beautiful, it has intention behind it, and it’s made so expertly by Filipino artisans. I also want people to feel comfort because a home for anyone should feel like an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world. It should be a place where people can just exhale and be their authentic self.

Will certain part of the proceeds will go charity?

Catriona: Yes, I will be giving some of the proceeds to a charity of choice, but I’m still finalizing which one that would be. This collaboration wasn’t really about earning for me, but more about an expression of my creativity as a designer [because people don’t really know me for design, though I do love design].

KARE Founder, Peter Schönhofen, on the Importance of Staying Young-at-Heart

KARE Founder CEO Peter SchonhofenPhoto by Courtesy of Nice Print for KARE Philippines

Peter Schönhofen seems a jolly man; he has a warm smile that constantly tugs at the edges of his lips. At the grand opening of the latest KARE showroom at Garden Towers in Makati, Peter makes a nondescript appearance, dressed in a modest white polo and a grey coat.

A co-founder of the whimsical German design house, KARE, Peter had flown into Manila for the store’s latest opening. And while his clothes may seem solemn, his outlook, his ethos, and his designs betray a much more colorful outlook on life.

“Thinking outside of the box requires one to stay young-at-heart,” Peter revealed. “You must remain a child all your life.”

And indeed, a quick look at the showroom sees plenty of sophisticated yet imaginative whimsy. There are lamps in the shape of bunny rabbits and side tables with flowers growing beneath their glass. Cockatoo cookie jars and French bulldog sculptures are displayed atop contemporary dining tables with golden geometric legs.

“We do the unexpected, the out of bounds, and we think outside of the box,” Peter explained.

Founded in 1981, KARE’s origin story finds resonance in “thinking outside the box.” Back then, Peter explained, there was very little choice for the consumer.

Furniture was either well-designed and very expensive, or poorly designed – boring, in other words. There was little in between those extremes,” the founder shared. That’s when he began offering outside those niches. Today, they continue to imbibe a youthful and dynamic ambiance to homes all over the world, well-designed but also reasonably priced.

For Peter, keeping up with the business and staying creative means infusing the company with plenty of young blood, and therefore, new ideas. While KARE has over 40 years of experience in the industry, Peter is constantly ensuring that they don’t get left behind. “We love to hire young people in the company; we educate them on the industry. My daughters also work for me [at KARE] and they constantly remind me that there are new ways to reach similar results.” After all, as Peter attested, change is the only constant.

This paradox has even led him to his most treasured interior design tip: which is to change things up once in a while.

“An empty wall is just an empty wall,” he stated. “Think about what you can do with it – maybe add some lighting, a picture frame, or art.”

Of course, Peter added that sustainability– the obvious trend for a new generation of homeownersdictates a need for longevity.

“People now want their furniture to last ten, fifteen years,” the CEO acknowledged. “And we do that. Trends come and go; right now, natural materials are in vogue. Certain colors are popular, but at the end of the day, people want things that are well-designed and long-lasting.”

The Forum: Business Meets Paradise in Batangas City

JT GARCIA VP FOR SALES 1Photo by PonteFino Estates

Remember when Makati City was just a vast grassland before the Ayalas transformed it into one of the country’s premier business districts? Or Bonifacio Global City (BGC), when it was simply an old military base? Well, history has a way of repeating itself and this time around, it’s happening two hours away from Metro Manila – in Batangas City, to be exact.

Commemorating its 20th anniversary this year, PonteFino Estates continues to transform Batangas City. Their latest venture? The Forum I.T. Business Park – a 4.26-hectare PEZA-registered commercial township that’s set to create the next “BGC” around 100 kilometers south of the country’s capital.

More Than Just Another Business Park

“Build it, and they will come” is what they all say, but PonteFino Estates wants The Forum to be more than just your typical business park. It’s the first real estate development in Batangas City to receive certification from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) as an Information Technology (IT) business hub. But other than that, what makes it special?

For one, it’s designed with technology-intensive companies in mind. Whether it’s a Business Process Outsourcing (KPO) company, a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) corporation, or a retail enterprise, The Forum is crafted to be your next business address. You might be wondering, “Well, that’s all good and well, but what perks will we get by setting up shop there?”

Let’s talk incentives. As a PEZA-certified IT business park, The Forum offers businesses tax holidays (extending up to 10 years), tax and duty-free importation, other tax, impost, and fee exemptions, and streamlined regulatory processes. Furthermore, non-resident foreign nationals may be employed in PEZA-registered zones in certain positions or attain a special, non-immigrant visa.

Location, Location, Location

As the capital region, plenty of businesses prefer to work in Metro Manila with its numerous Central Business Districts (Makati, BGC, Ortigas, etc.) Given how congested the metro is and the intense traffic that plagues the roads here, it’s a no-brainer to consider nearby provinces – say hello to Batangas City.

It’s not just another dot on the map, however. Batangas City is home to the country’s second-largest international port and is one of the top 25 “Digital Cities 2025” identified by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP). Batangas City is also home to over 100 multinational companies (Shell Corporation, JG Summit Petrochemicals, Siemens, San Miguel Corporation, FirstGen) and in terms of manpower, they produce over 6,000 graduates annually.

“With The Forum I.T. Park, we aim to offer developments that enhance the business landscape while enriching the lives of our residents,” said John Thomas “JT” Garcia, Vice President for Sales at PonteFino Estates.

“We’re confident that this development by PonteFino will provide excellent returns for investors and contribute to the long-term development of the city. It’s an exciting time to be part of Batangas City’s growth,” he added.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently highlighted the region’s potential when he commended the expansion of JG Summit’s petrochemicals complex in Batangas City. The facility is expected to generate P215 billion and create 6,200 jobs by 2025. One could easily imagine similar progress being made with PonteFino Estates’ IT Park – which is perfectly situated across SM City Batangas, by the way.

Grand Vision of PonteFino Estates

Loading...

The Forum I.T. Park is part of PonteFino Estates’ grand vision: an 18.5-hectare mixed-use township that’s been two decades in the making. But it’s more than just building infrastructure, it’s about curating an ecosystem where business, leisure, and lifestyle seamlessly blend together.

What truly sets The Forum apart isn’t just its business-friendly features, it’s the complete lifestyle package that comes with the location. Within the PonteFino Estates development, you’ll find:

  • The Arcade: a premier commercial establishment for offices and retail spaces
  • The Mansions: an upscale townhouse development boasting neo-Victorian architecture (yes, the one where BINI shot their “Cherry on Topmusic video!)
  • Park Avenue: a gated community offering residential lots
  • One PonteFino Tower: Batangas City’s first mid-rise condominium
  • PonteFino Hotel and Resort: the crown jewel that started it all
Loading...

Two decades ago, PonteFino Estates began with PonteFino Hotel and Resort and since its launch, it has been setting the gold standard for hospitality in Batangas City. It’s not just a place to stay, however. It’s also the go-to destination for business travelers, families looking for spacious and well-equipped rooms for a weekend staycation, couples seeking a place to host their wedding and honeymoon at the same time, companies looking to host meetings or conferences, and those planning other social events.

The property features well-equipped and modern rooms, state-of-the-art conference facilities, and several dining options (that are set to grow even further soon – keep an eye out!) Connected to One PonteFino Tower, a Small-Office, Home-Office branded residence, the hotel serves as a testament to their integrated approach to development.

Future Beyond Metro Manila

The Forum IT Park Launch

Batangas City – with its strategic location, robust infrastructure, and growing economy – is positioned to be the next big thing in Philippine real estate and business. With PonteFino Estates’ development of The Forum I.T. Business Park, they’re not just riding this wave – they’re helping create it. With their decades of proven track record, this new development is set to redefine for investors and business owners alike what a business district outside Metro Manila can be.

Luxury Italian Furniture Comes Alive at Moda Interni in Quezon City

A modular sofa setup from Turri a brand known for versatile pieces that are well suited for individuals who crave eclecticism and personalization LargePhoto by Moda Interni

Stepping into Moda Interni is like coming home to good friends, at least to those whom you consider true bon vivants. The Italian furniture importer boasts an incredible yet comfortable showroom. Ronald Ventura paintings adorn crisp cream walls while a full marble table sits proudly at the center of the dining room.

Its walk-in closet is furnished with Louis Vuitton suits and a gorgeous, geometric Turri vanity table. A fully functional refrigerator – replete with wines and drinks – invites guests and gourmands to slow down for a tipple or two. “We want people to come in and touch everything, experience what it’s like to live with this furniture,” said Moda Interni CEO Goldwin Sison.

Moda Interni

Needless to say, Moda Interni’s figurehead is something of a hedonist. A man with a passion for the finer things in life – cigars, art, and good food – it comes as no surprise that Goldwin now dedicates his business to bringing Filipinos furniture that is just as resplendent. "Good furniture is an investment in your lifestyle, not just an aesthetic choice,” he asserted. “It should be timeless, comfortable, and built to last, offering both function and emotional value."

At the moment, Moda Interni carries four different Italian luxury brands: Pedini, Turri, Lago, and Opera Contemporary. For himself, Goldwin is an avid fan and follower of Pedini. Founded in 1957, the brand is known for its curved kitchen designs, a rarity and a great feat. “It’s incredibly difficult to get the angles right when designing a curved kitchen,” Goldwin shared. “Nobody else in the [local] market offers it as of right now.”

It’s obvious then that Goldwin has centered his choice of furniture – and his business partners – around the ideas of innovation and good research. He partners with brands that have durable yet future-forward ideas, those that know how to keep one leg in modernity, and another in timelessness.

“When people come to us, they often buy furniture with ‘legacy’ in mind. They want to pass these pieces down to their children, their grandchildren,” Goldwin observed.

For its furniture, Moda Interni offers both superb aftersales services and customization. “Fabric and leather are huge trends in furniture today,” Goldwin shared. “For these, we have sheepskin and calfskin options. But honestly, if you told us you wanted furniture with Loro Piana fabric, we can do that too, it’s entirely possible.”

Loading...

Working in luxury, after all, has taught Goldwin that experience is part of the price. And as an entrepreneur in one of the few economies with a stable luxury market, Goldwin has come to realize that Filipinos are here not just for aesthetics, but for functionality and legacy too.

A look at the Moda Interni portfolio reveals a curated line of brands, all of which have an interesting backstory. Turri, a contemporary favorite, is set to celebrate its centennial year in 2025. They constantly collaborate with esteemed designers such as Monica Armani, Paola Navone, and Matteo Nunziati to create seasonal pieces that last the test of time. Opera Contemporary, a classic-modern furniture company, is run under the esteemed Angelo Capellini brand, which is famous for its woodworking history that dates back to European royalty in 1886. Moda Interni’s most recent addition, Lago, was established in 1976 and specializes in a privately developed material called “X-glass” that creates the illusion of floating furniture.

Ultimately each piece in the Moda Interni showroom is one that’s bound to be loved. “We’re all about creating a space where people can find the perfect pieces to elevate their living experience,” Goldwin said. “We don’t mean for it to only complement lifestyles aesthetically, but also functionally.”

Moda Interniis located at 5th Floor, Bonavida Center, Diliman, Brgy. Ugong Norte, Quezon City. For more details, kindly email sales@modainterni.ph, or call +639177256456 to schedule an appointment.
